Itinerary
- Day 1
Munich Airport Arrival
Your journey begins as you arrive at Munich Airport and head to your ship, either the S.S. Maria Theresa or S.S. Beatrice. If group transfers are part of your package, you'll be taken care of from the airport. Otherwise, you can arrange a private transfer to get to the dock and start settling into your cabin for the week ahead.



- Day 2
Passau
The ship brings you to Passau, where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers converge at this cultural hub. You'll have time to walk around town and check out the famous pipe organ in the cathedral, or if you'd rather get moving, there's a riverside hike along the Ilz River that's quite rewarding.

- Day 3
Salzburg or Linz
Next, you'll head to either Salzburg or Linz, depending on what interests you. Mozart was born in Salzburg and the alpine backdrop is beautiful there. Linz has its own character with the famous Linzer torte, local artists, and countryside farms. You can do a full-day Sound of Music tour or opt for a town and country experience with a stop at a cider farm.

- Day 4
Melk and Dürnstein
This morning takes you to Melk Abbey, which has been around for 900 years and features a baroque library that's worth seeing. From there, you'll explore Dürnstein, one of the nicest towns on the Danube with narrow cobblestone streets and local shops. You can hike up to a ruined castle, try wine at a local vineyard, or learn about saffron farming from the region's only producer.

- Day 5
Vienna
Vienna arrives, and you'll get a guided tour of the city's imperial highlights and the Vienna Art History Museum, where the art collection is really something special. Later that evening, there's a private Mozart and Strauss concert, so you'll experience the classical music the city is known for.

Vienna to Bratislava
The ship sails from Vienna toward Bratislava, and you'll have views from the Sun Deck during the journey. Once in Bratislava, you can take a walking tour of this city with centuries of cultural and political history, or hike up to Bratislava Castle for views of the city and the Danube.

- Day 7
Budapest
Budapest is your final destination, and there are two ways to experience it. A panoramic highlights tour includes a visit to the Franz Liszt Academy and gives you the lay of the land. Or, there's a walking tour that focuses on local food and treats if you'd rather wander and eat.

Budapest Departure
Your river cruise ends here. You'll disembark and transfer to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport for your flight home. If you'd prefer to stay longer in Budapest, you can extend your trip and arrange that separately.
