Our tour guide Kristy was excellent, always easy-going, highly organised & approachable. Got to see key highlights & capture awe-inspiring photos. Minibus was a bit cramped with a fully booked tour group but we covered alot of ground in just a few days. Kristy managed to keep calm and upbeat throughout tour despite long days of driving.

    Asked on September 14th, 2024

How much hiking each day, difficulty level, and pace?

    Tour Details
    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten September 2024

The Wild Grand Teton and Yellowstone tour typically includes moderate hiking each day, ranging from 2 to 5 miles on maintained trails. The difficulty level varies, but most hikes are moderate with some inclines and uneven terrain. The pace is steady, designed for average fitness levels, allowing time to take in the scenery and spot wildlife.

      Irene

      TravelerWritten September 2024

Would one walk be 5 miles or would that be the total for the day and how many miles per are walked per day? I am very interested in this trip for 2025 but am concerned that my sister wouldn't be able to keep up. If she finds it to much what would happen?

    • On The Go ToursOperatorWritten September 2024

You would walk a total of 2-5 miles per day, so there would be breaks and stops along the way. You would have to discuss with your guide whilst on tour if your sister was having trouble keeping up, and what alternative suggestions they would have for her. As they would be on a bit of a time schedule, they would not be able to stop for great lengths of time to wait for her. I am sure 5-10 minutes here or there may be accommodated, but as this is a group tour they will want to keep on with the tour. If the walking was too much on some days she may have to not participate. Again this is something that you would discuss with your tour leader upon arrival.
