Customer Reviews
- James· May 21st, 2025I give our experience 4 stars only because the itinerary led us to believe that this tour involved more hiking. Our guide Kendra, deserves 10 stars! She was outstanding. Her knowledge, personality and commitment to our group having an exceptional experience was beyond exceptional. The organization of the tour, accommodations, transportation was excellent.Show more
- Thomas· April 20th, 2025Overall a great trip with very big highlights - San Francisco, the canyons, Las Vegas. The tour guide was also very competent and often entertaining. However, there were also disadvantages. The program was too tightly timed. Especially with the huge distances in the USA. There was often little time to look at something in peace. Time stress and constant hustle and bustle. Less would often have been more here, i.e. fewer sights in a short space of time. The spartan breakfast was really annoying for the not exactly cheap price: some jam, toast, a few pastries and coffee. Pretty outrageous! I also thought it was bad that the tour planners scheduled the big trip to the canyons after the day in Las Vegas. There was hardly any time to take a closer look at the city's nightlife and Las Vegas has a lot to offer in this respect. Anyway - apart from the few points of criticism, it was a great and very exciting trip.Show more

Asked on September 14th, 2024How much hiking each day, difficulty level, and pace?
- On The Go ToursOperator•Written September 2024
The Wild Grand Teton and Yellowstone tour typically includes moderate hiking each day, ranging from 2 to 5 miles on maintained trails. The difficulty level varies, but most hikes are moderate with some inclines and uneven terrain. The pace is steady, designed for average fitness levels, allowing time to take in the scenery and spot wildlife.

Traveler•Written September 2024Would one walk be 5 miles or would that be the total for the day and how many miles per are walked per day? I am very interested in this trip for 2025 but am concerned that my sister wouldn't be able to keep up. If she finds it to much what would happen?
- On The Go ToursOperator•Written September 2024
You would walk a total of 2-5 miles per day, so there would be breaks and stops along the way. You would have to discuss with your guide whilst on tour if your sister was having trouble keeping up, and what alternative suggestions they would have for her. As they would be on a bit of a time schedule, they would not be able to stop for great lengths of time to wait for her. I am sure 5-10 minutes here or there may be accommodated, but as this is a group tour they will want to keep on with the tour. If the walking was too much on some days she may have to not participate. Again this is something that you would discuss with your tour leader upon arrival.
