Guadeloupe Arrival
You'll land at Guadeloupe airport or port where a German-speaking staff member greets you and arranges your transfer to the hotel. After getting settled, the rest of your day is yours to relax on the beach or by the pool and soak in that Caribbean atmosphere.

Guadeloupe Sightseeing
Pick up your rental car this morning and start exploring. Head to Pointe-à-Pitre first to walk through the colorful market and check out the historic churches. From there, drive through banana plantations and tropical forest to reach Carbet waterfalls. On your way back, take the royal palm avenue Dumanoir, which offers a nice drive back toward your hotel.

Eastern Guadeloupe
Drive out to Pointe des Chateaux on the eastern coast where you'll see where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean at Grande Vigie cliffs. Stop at the caves of Porte d'Enfer and take a swim at Le Souffleur beach. Later, head back via Morne-à-l'Eau's unusual black and white tiled cemetery before returning to your hotel.

Guadeloupe to Les Saintes
Check out of your hotel and drive to Trois Rivières to drop off your rental car. Then you'll catch the ferry to Les Saintes (about 30 minutes crossing). Once you arrive at Terre de Haut, someone picks you up and takes you to your hotel. If you feel like it, take a short walk through the village, or just relax at the hotel beach.

Landmarks Les Saintes - Day 5
Les Saintes Island
Visit Fort Napoleon, a fortress built in 1867 with a museum inside and great views looking out over the bay and nearby islands. You could also rent an electric car or scooter to explore on your own, or join an optional island tour organized by your hotel if that works better for you.

Les Saintes Beach & Optional Activities
Spend your day on the hotel beach enjoying the sun and water. If you want to do something else, you can take the ferry over to Terre-de-Bas island (there's an optional tour available), or try some of the hiking trails that wind through Les Saintes.

Landmarks Terre-de-Bas - Day 7
Les Saintes to Deshaies
After checking out, grab one more swim at the hotel beach. Early afternoon, you'll get picked up at the ferry port and head back to Trois Rivières. Pick up your rental car and drive north along the scenic west coast to Deshaies, stopping at nice viewpoints over the Caribbean Sea along the way.

Deshaies Activities
Head to Cousteau Underwater Park near Bouillante and take a glass-bottomed boat tour to see corals and fish below the surface. After that, visit the zoological garden located in the rainforest along Route de la Traversee, which includes a suspension bridge course. If you have time and energy, there's an optional extension to the crayfish waterfall.

Volcano or Valley Exploration
You have two good options today. Either hike up to the volcano (1467 m high) to see active sulfur fumes and craters, with an optional hiking guide available, or visit the lush La Grière valley near Vieux Habitants. The valley includes touring the La Grière estate where you'll learn about coffee cultivation and see 18th century furniture and tools.

In the morning, visit the Botanical Garden of Deshaies, which has over 1000 plant species spread throughout the grounds. Then in the afternoon, drive to the airport and return your rental car before heading home.
