Itinerary
- Day 1
Bergen
You'll arrive in Bergen on your own and head to the Havila Voyages jetty to check in. After settling into your cabin, the afternoon and early evening are yours to explore Norway's second largest city. The UNESCO-listed Hanseatic quarter of Bryggen is definitely worth walking through if you have time. Dinner happens on board, and then the ship heads north along the Viking Route as evening falls.

Bergen to Molde
The ship departs early from Bergen and heads north through the Nordfjord and West Cape. You'll arrive in Alesund, the Art Nouveau city, and depending on the season, either see Geirangerfjord with its 800m cliffs and waterfalls (April 1 to August 31) or Hj\u00f8rundfjord (September 1 to October 31). By evening you'll reach Molde, the rose town, which has views overlooking 222 fjord peaks.

Molde to Røvik
The ship sails to Trondheim, one of Norway's most beautiful historic cities, where you have about 3 hours to explore. You can check out Bakklandet with its colorful wooden houses or visit Nidaros Cathedral, and optional guided tours are available. After that, the ship continues north, passing the Kjeungskj\u00e6r lighthouse and moving through small islands and rocky reefs. By evening you'll reach R\u00f8vik, arriving via the narrow Stokksund channel.

Røvik to Lofoten Islands
This is a special day because you cross the Arctic Circle, where during summer the sun barely sets (or doesn't set at all), and during winter the Northern Lights appear overhead. You'll see Svartisen, the largest glacier in Northern Scandinavia, and Saltstraumen near Bod\u00f8, which is the world's strongest tidal stream. Watch for white-tailed eagles, and then the ship continues along the Helgeland coast to the Lofoten Islands with their fishing villages and steep mountainsides.

Lofoten Islands to Tromsø
Early in the morning the ship travels along the Vester\u00e5len Islands toward Troms\u00f8, Norway's Arctic capital. You'll have about 4 hours to spend in this lively university town, where there are museums to check out and the world's northernmost brewery. Optional excursions include city tours or arctic activities like dog sledding and reindeer tours in winter, or sea kayaking in summer.

Tromsø to Honningsvåg
The ship reaches Hammerfest, the world's northernmost town, early in the morning for a short stop. After that, you'll continue to Honningsv\u00e5g, and from there an optional excursion to the famous North Cape is available, a destination that's attracted adventure-seekers for centuries.

Honningsvåg to Kirkenes
In the early morning Kirkenes appears, which is the ship's turning point with the Russian border just a few kilometers away. Here the Arctic Circle Baptism ceremony takes place, and an optional excursion to the Kirkenes Snowhotel is available if you want an ice-cold overnight stay with ice bar and artistically designed rooms. From this point the ship heads south, and towns seen at night on the northbound journey now appear during daylight.

Kirkenes to Tromsø
Heading south, the ship passes through Hammerfest where you can see the Struve Meridian Arch, a UNESCO World Heritage Site marking the first measurement of the globe. From there the route goes through the scenic Lyngsfjord with the rugged Lyngen Alps surrounding you. You'll reach Troms\u00f8 shortly before midnight.

Tromsø to Stamsund (Lofoten Islands)
This day takes you through some of the trip's most beautiful landscapes across the Lofoten and Vester\u00e5len archipelagos. These islands have steep mountains, sandy beaches, and picturesque fishing villages. South of Stokmarknes you'll enter the narrow Raftsund passage where peaks rise 1000m straight up, then reach the spectacular Trollfjord at only 2km long and 100m wide with majestic mountains all around. Optional activities include a sea eagle safari, horseback riding, or hiking on Haukland Beach.

Stamsund to Røvik
You'll celebrate the second Arctic Circle crossing with a traditional Arctic Circle Baptism ceremony, which is a fun and entertaining experience. Along the Helgeland coast you'll see Torghatten, a distinctive mountain with a hole through it (160m long, 35m high, 20m wide from the Ice Age), and a guided hike is available April through October. Then pass the legendary Seven Sisters mountain range with peaks up to 1100m high before reaching R\u00f8vik later.

Røvik to Ålesund
The ship reaches Trondheim again, then continues south toward Kristiansund, known as the capital of cod since dried fish has been exported from here for centuries. The steep Romsdal Alps peaks accompany the journey as you head toward Alesund. An optional excursion takes you to the Atlantic Road with its curved bridges, voted the world's most beautiful road.

Ålesund to Bergen
The ship travels through the picturesque Nordfjord below the Jostedal Glacier and toward the mighty Sognefjord, with views of the coastline and islands all around. You'll arrive back in Bergen at 14:30 (2:30 PM) and disembark for your individual departure.
