Itinerary
- Day 1
Keflavik to Ilulissat
You'll fly from Keflavik Airport to Ilulissat on Greenland's west coast, taking about 4 hours. Once you land, a transfer takes you to Hotel Arctic, which sits above the town with views of icebergs in the bay. After meeting your local guide, you'll do an easy hike across wooden footbridges to the Sermermiut settlement ruins at the ice fjord mouth, roughly 1.5 hours total. Along the way, you'll learn about traditional Greenlandic life and get to feel the permafrost yourself.

- Day 2
Ilulissat
After breakfast, you head out whale watching through Disko Bay's icebergs where fin, humpback, and bowhead whales show up regularly during summer. You'll get close looks at the icebergs before returning. The afternoon is free to walk around Ilulissat's colorful 18th-century colonial houses on your own. Later, you take a boat through icebergs lit by the midnight sun for about 2.5 hours, experiencing the unique Arctic light at night.

- Day 3
Ilulissat to Eqi Glacier
This is a full-day boat trip heading north along the coast to Eqi Glacier, one of Greenland's most active glaciers. You'll pass Bredebugt and the settlement of Oqaatsut, then go through Pakitsoq fjord where whales and seals often appear. The Ataa waterway crossing offers dramatic views with steep mountains and waterfalls surrounding you. At Eqi, the glacier front extends about 2.5 kilometers with a height close to 200 meters. You'll spend roughly an hour watching for glacier calving, where chunks of ice break off and crash into the sea.

- Day 4
Ilulissat to Keflavik
You have a relaxed morning before heading to the airport for your noon return flight to Keflavik, arriving around 15:45. Before you leave, take time to enjoy Hotel Arctic's views over Ilulissat, the ice fjord, and Disko Bay one last time.
