Itinerary
- Day 1
Seeb to Nizwa
Your off-road adventure kicks off around 9 am when you pick up your vehicle. From there, you'll drive through Seeb and the Nakhl oasis, taking in the landscape as you head deeper into Oman's interior. The route then takes you through Wadi Bani Auf, which offers some serious terrain and views before you continue on toward Al Hamra. By evening, you'll arrive in Nizwa for your overnight stay. The drive covers roughly 350 km total, so expect a full day of driving with varied scenery.

- Day 2
Nizwa to Jebel Akhdar
Start your day exploring Nizwa's Round Tower Fort and wandering through the traditional market, where you can see how the town operates. After that, head toward the restored Jabrin fortress to see how it's been preserved. Then you'll drive into Wadi Nakher, one of Oman's most beautiful gorges with dramatic cliffs and winding paths. The route continues upward to Jebel Akhdar via Birkat Al Mauz oasis. If you're interested, there are optional walks through the terraced villages of Al Ayn and Wadi Bani Habib scattered throughout the day. Around 250 km of driving gets you to your overnight stay on Jebel Akhdar at elevation.

- Day 3
Jebel Akhdar to Wahiba Sands
Begin at Sinaw's traditional market, where you'll see local trading of silver, guns, and livestock. From there, continue through Mudhaybi and Al Qabil on your way toward Wadi Bani Khalid, which has some of the most striking deep blue pools you'll find in the country. The afternoon shifts into off-road driving across the Wahiba Sands dunes, heading toward your desert camp for the night. This day covers roughly 450 km and includes both breakfast and dinner, so you're set for meals throughout.

- Day 4
Wahiba Sands to Sur/Muscat
You'll cross through the Wahiba Sands dunes heading toward Sur, with an optional stop at a dhow factory if that interests you. Next comes Bimah Sinkhole, a striking limestone crater filled with turquoise water that's worth the detour. On your way back, you can drive through Wadi Arbayeen to see its natural pools before heading to either your hotel or Muscat airport, depending on your plans. You'll drop off your rental car at the end to wrap up the trip. The drive totals approximately 450 km.
