Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairns
You'll arrive at your hotel in Cairns and get settled in. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace. Cairns has a warm, tropical feel with palm-lined streets and plenty of restaurants, bars, and boutiques to check out. If you want to venture out from the center, the Northern Beaches are only 15 minutes away and have small villages and good swimming spots.

- Day 2
Cairns to Kuranda
Head out on the historic scenic railway to the Atherton Tablelands with views of the Pacific coast along the way. Once you arrive in Kuranda, you'll visit Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience at Rainforest Station to learn about Aboriginal history and traditions. After that, you'll ride the longest cable car in the southern hemisphere over the rainforest canopy before heading back to your hotel.

Cairns - Great Barrier Reef
Your hotel pickup happens in the morning, followed by a short ride to Reef Fleet Terminal. You'll spend the day at the outer Great Barrier Reef, where you can snorkel, dive, or view the colorful underwater world from a glass-bottom boat. The tour returns to Cairns by late afternoon. Information materials are available in German, though your guide conducts the tour in English.

Cairns to Cape Tribulation
You'll drive to Cape Tribulation where the tropical rainforest and Great Barrier Reef meet at this remote headland, a spot where two UNESCO World Heritage Sites converge. After crossing the Daintree River, you'll hike through the rainforest and take a boat trip along the river where crocodiles sometimes appear. You'll return to Cairns in the evening.
