Arrival
Your guide meets you at the airport and handles your transfer to The Sternwheeler Hotel. If you're coming in on a different flight, just arrange your own ride to the hotel. Settle in for the night.

Whitehorse to Skagway
Head south on the Klondike Highway and you'll pass through Carcross Desert, which sits as the world's smallest desert. Stop at Emerald Lake (locals call it Rainbow Lake) to see the turquoise water. There's an optional train ride over White Pass if you want it, crossing into Alaska. End the day at Westmark Inn Skagway.

- Day 3
Skagway to Haines
Walk through historic Skagway on a guided tour that covers the gold mining era and the town's past. Then board a ferry for the 30-minute crossing to Haines through the Inside Passage. Once there, get a guided look around Haines and have a Canadian-American barbecue for dinner. Stay at Captain's Choice Motel for two nights.

- Day 4
Haines
This day is yours to decide. Take short walks around Haines if you prefer to relax, or book the optional trip to Juneau. The Juneau option includes about 3 hours by boat through the Inside Passage, time to explore the town and see Mendenhall Glacier, plus chances to spot whales, seals, and sea lions. You'll get back to Haines in the evening.

- Day 5
Haines to Haines Junction
Cross back into Canada over Haines Pass, which gives you great mountain views the whole way. When you reach Haines Junction, take a short walk by the Dezadeash River. Stay at Alcan Motor Inn for two nights.

Kluane National Park
Start with short walks in Kluane National Park, and a guided hike is included. You can do a half-day hike if you want more activity, or choose an optional sightseeing flight showing you the largest non-polar ice field in the world and the highest mountains in North America.

Kluane National Park to Whitehorse
Take the optional sightseeing flight over Kluane if you didn't do it yesterday. Then drive back toward Whitehorse on the Alaska Highway. Stop at 'Long Ago Peoples Place' for a guided tour about First Nations life in Canada's north, and in the late afternoon visit Yukon Wildlife Preserve to see regional animals. Return to The Sternwheeler Hotel in Whitehorse.

Departure
Free time in Whitehorse until your airport transfer. If you're on the Condor flight to Frankfurt, your transfer is arranged. Otherwise, sort out your own departure or book a connecting stay.
