Kathryn· October 9th, 2025The itinerary was good and enabled us to see the key sites. Day one - we did not see Brandywine Falls, offered an optional walking tour. Day two - due to a change in itinerary, we did not enjoy a salmon BBQ lunch. We were provided with a packed lunch with no consideration of life-threatening allergies. I could not eat what was provided and hence had no lunch. Day three - did not visit Spahats Falls. We were offered additional optional tours. Day four - all items on the itinerary were provided. Day five - Visit to the Glacier Adventure was hazardous as we were not adequately dressed. We had specifically asked the guide the day before about suitable clothing and footwear, advising that we had wet weather clothing and hiking boots, and told these would not be required. Wore sandshoes which were totally inadequate for the conditions on the glacier. Day six - Did not see or hear about HooDoos (as per itinerary). Got a distant glimpse of Banff Springs hotel. Day seven - all items as per the itinerary were provided. Day eight - visit to the winery was very disappointing, and as one guest noted, it was like going through a McDonald's drivethru. The tasting was dreadful, no information was provided about the winery or the regional wines, the girls' only interest was in the on-selling of their wines which were not good. All passengers provided this feedback to our driver/guide. Perhaps the biggest disappointment was Marcos. He was really only a driver. He provided limited to no information about the history of the sights, but spent a lot of time discussing his personal life and businesses. Perhaps this was because we were his final tour group for your company, and he did not care anymore? Given that he repeatedly said he liked doing our "premium" tours, this was not the experience we got. For the price we paid for this tour, I would expect the guide to be knowledgeable about the areas we visit and to inform us about the historical and cultural significance of the sights we see and experience.Show more

Sally· July 25th, 2025I am reviewing the Western Canada Iconic Sites Tour that my husband and I undertook between 12-19 July 2025. If we could give this tour 10 stars we would. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. It was a pleasure to book this tour with Lisanne S from Discover Canada Tours. She was a pleasure to deal with and very responsive to my many emails. I had read the FAQs on the Discover Canada Tours website prior to travel and I had noticed that you could pay an additional $100 to reserve the two front seats for the duration of the trip. We did that thinking that we would have a great view of the scenery out the front of the bus. Unfortunately what we didn't know at the time was that the bus that we would be travelling in wasn't a big coach (which turned out to be great) and the view from the two front seats was actually obscured by the bulkhead of the vehicle. As it turned out, given there were only 9 passengers it wasn't an issue as we were able to move into other seats. However we would not have paid extra and booked these front seats if we had known about the obstructed view of this vehicle. From the moment we met our driver and guide Will S at Canada Place we knew we were in safe hands. He was an amazing guide and equally important to us a competent and safe driver. No mean feat when you are driving a heavy vehicle and negotiating jam packed car parks (as most were) while we were visiting all the beautiful tourist destinations in the Rockies. Will was personal, approachable, flexible, helpful and very knowledgable. It was so interesting listening to him on the mic as we drove through the Rockies hearing of the details and history of the places we were driving through. He often would say that he had 'brushed up' on the information he was giving the previous evening. Now that's dedication. We were a small group of 9 which made interaction with him very easy. It was nice that he interacted with us all socially as well. We enjoyed lovely dinners together and he is a mean 'dice game' player...! We were lucky to have great weather on our tour. But the one day that it was a bit drizzly, overcast with low cloud was the morning we were due to go up the Banff Gondala. As we met at the appointed time in the foyer Will said he just had to make one phone call and we would be ready to go. Turns out he called the Gondola people and asked if they could move our trip to the afternoon when the weather was due to clear. What a considerate thing to do as we wouldn't have been able to see a thing had we gone up at the appointed time. That meant we had a couple of hours free. But instead of letting us loose in Banff to do our own thing he kindly drove us round on a little sightseeing tour - marvellous. Another example of his kindness was when half the group were going on a wildlife evening tour in Jasper. He took those that weren't on the tour to a another beautiful lake for an hour or so. Just so they weren't sitting at the hotel. The accommodation on the trip was fabulous. The only thing to mention is that the hotel in Banff (Canalta Lodge) is listed as 'centrally located' but we wouldn't call it so. It was at least a 15 minute walk into the main area of town. It was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay - but it might be prudent to remove the 'centrally located' statement from the itinerary. All the other hotels were definately centrally located and of a high standard. My husband and I will remember our tour of the Rockies for a long time to come - our photos don't do them justice. We have wonderful memories of the places we visited and the great group of people we had as our travelling buddies. It was special being part of such a small group as we were in a smaller vehicle and able to get into some of the spectacular falls that the bigger coaches wouldn't be able to. Will advised that it was his first time visiting a couple of them also. Cudos to the Discover Canada Team for taking note of the suggestions of previous passengers and extending this tour for an extra day and to Will in particular for making this trip one that we will remember for a long time. He is an absolute delight and a credit to your Company. Liam and Sally Canberra, AustraliaShow moreTrip date: July 2025- JMJohn· July 24th, 2025Guide was outstanding! Our tour guide, Meghan, did a great job navigating our bus. She stopped often to view stunning scenery or engage in an fun activity to break up the long periods of driving. The small group size (21) was nice. If you want to see a lot of beautiful Canadian scenery without the hassle of driving, this tour is for you.Show more

- BBBrendon· October 20th, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our time on tour, which was enhanced by the outstanding tour guide Chris and driver Charles. They went out of their way to handle any emergency as they arose. Chris’s commentary was excellent t and he made the tour a very funny and entertaining experience. The quizzes and musical interludes made for a fun time. We would certainly tour with Chris and Charles again. Our suggested improvements would be a map of the tour, a larger bus for more leg room and an on board toilet.Show more
