Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Shanghai
You'll fly into Shanghai and your private guide meets you right at the arrival hall to help with bags and get you settled into your 4-star hotel. After checking in, you'll have time to rest up before dinner.
- Day 2
Shanghai to Chengdu
Start the morning walking through the French Concession, then head to Yuyuan Garden and the Chenghuangmiao Temple to see traditional architecture and local temples. After lunch, you'll stroll the historic Bund and check out Xintiandi's modern take on old buildings. Later, fly to Chengdu and your guide transfers you to the hotel.

Chengdu to Chongqing
Early morning visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where you'll see pandas up close. From there, walk through Wenshu Temple's Buddhist halls and gardens, then spend time on Jinli Old Street trying local food and seeing traditional shops. After, head to Kuanzhai Alley to explore the old Qing Dynasty buildings. By evening, take the 1.5-hour high-speed train to Chongqing and board your Victoria Cruise.

Rise early with coffee or tea on deck as the ship approaches Fengdu. You'll explore Shuangui Mountain and its mystical temples during the morning. In the evening, attend the Captain's Welcome Reception where you'll meet other travelers and enjoy dinner with river views.

Victoria Cruises Downstream Day 3
Start your morning with coffee or tea while cruising through Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge, two of the most dramatic sections of the Three Gorges. During the day, take a shore excursion to Goddess Stream and walk along the water. That evening, there's a cabaret show onboard with performances from local minority groups and the ship's crew.

Victoria Cruises Downstream Day 4 & Return to Shanghai
Visit the Three Gorges Dam in the morning to see this major engineering project and learn how it works. After touring, head to Yichang high-speed train station and board the 6.5-hour train back to Shanghai. Your guide meets you when you arrive and takes you to the hotel.

Departure from Shanghai
You'll have free time in Shanghai to do what you want, whether that's shopping, more sightseeing, or just relaxing. Later in the day, your guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight home.
