Itinerary
- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive at Athens airport and get a transfer to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. Later in the afternoon, drive along the coast toward Cape Sounio where you can see the Temple of Poseidon. The location sits on a rocky promontory with views out over the Saronic Gulf and the islands nearby. After you've had time to walk around, head back to the hotel for the night.

Athens to Olympia
Start with breakfast at the hotel, then head out along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal. From there, you'll stop at the Theatre of Epidauros and pass through Nafplion for photos. Next comes the Archaeological Site at Mycenae, where you can see the Tomb of Agamemnon. The route takes you through Central Peloponnese, passing Tripolis and Megalopolis before reaching Olympia for the night, so it's a full day of driving and exploring.

Olympia to Delphi
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the morning at Olympia's Archaeological Site checking out the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. During the afternoon, you'll drive through the plains of Eliad and Achaia, then cross the bridge that spans the Corinthian Bay between Rion and Antirion. The route continues through Nafpaktos and Itea before you arrive in Delphi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Delphi to Kalambaka
Have breakfast at the hotel, then spend your morning at Delphi's Archaeological Site and Museum. Later you'll depart for Kalambaka, a small town that sits at the base of the Meteora complex with its massive rock formations. You'll stay overnight there, positioned well for the next day's monastery visits.

Kalambaka to Athens
Start with breakfast at the hotel, then visit the Meteora monasteries that sit on top of enormous suspended rocks. Inside you can see Byzantine art and religious artifacts. From there, you'll drive back toward Athens by way of Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae, with a stop to see Leonida's Monument. Plan to head to the airport after 20:00 for your onward travel.
