Itinerary
- Day 1
Ait Ben Hadou to Sahara Desert
Your day starts with a hotel pickup, then you're driving through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass where you'll see some really nice mountain scenery. A stop at a Berber village gives you breakfast and a chance to see local life. After that, you'll head to Ait Ben Hadou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a guide walks you through this historic kasbah. You'll have free time around lunch to grab something to eat, and then it's on through Ouarzazate and Draa Valley heading toward Erg Lihoudi in the Sahara. By evening, you're taking a camel ride to watch the sunset before settling into your desert camp for the night.

Sahara Desert to Marrakech
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Erg Lihoudi sand dunes, which is really the highlight of the morning. Head back to camp for breakfast, then start your journey back toward the village while watching how the dunes look different as the light changes. There's an optional stop at Temegroute if you want to see how local pottery gets made by hand. After that, you'll reach Ouarzazate where you can check out the Cinema Museum, Cinema Studios, or Kasbah of Taourirte if you're interested (just know entrance fees aren't covered). Finally, you drive back to Marrakech to finish up.
