Nice
You'll arrive in Nice on the French Riviera and get transferred to your hotel in the city center for a 3-night stay. Take the rest of the day to settle in and get a feel for the city at your own pace. Walk around the neighborhoods, grab lunch somewhere along the waterfront, or just relax after your journey.

Monaco and Monte Carlo
A guided tour takes you to Monaco today to see Monte Carlo and the wider principality. You'll walk past the famous Grand Prix track where you've probably seen the race broadcast, and get a sense of how the wealthy live here. The streets and architecture really show off that jet-set lifestyle the place is known for.

Nice
This is your day to explore Nice's coastal areas without a set schedule. Head down to the beach, walk along the promenade, or check out different neighborhoods at your own pace. Your hospitality representative is available if you want suggestions or help organizing activities for the day.

Nice to Arles
After breakfast, you'll be transferred to Arles where you'll board the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship. The captain and crew will welcome you on board, and you'll have dinner that evening while getting settled into your cabin and meeting fellow travelers.

Arles
A guided tour takes you through Arles to see the 2,000-year-old amphitheatre where chariot races happened centuries ago. You'll also learn about Vincent van Gogh's time in the city and how the streets and light influenced his work. From there, you have free time to wander the streets and find your own favorite spots in town.

Avignon
The guided walking tour covers Avignon's history as a papal residence back in the 14th century and its role during the French Revolution. You'll see the Gothic Palais des Papes, a UNESCO site with intricate architecture and rooms full of history. In the afternoon, you can cross the famous 12th-century Stone Bridge, wander on your own, or join one of the more active excursions available.

- Day 8
Tournon
Sailing down the Rhone toward Tournon, you'll see a 16th-century castle and old watchtowers from the ship. Once there, a guided tour walks you through this historic village and its past. You can choose between a guided hike through vineyard-covered hills or the standard walking tour. Later in the day, you'll take a guided bike ride to Glun and taste regional wines back on board.

Landmarks Tournon Castle Glun - Day 9
Lyon
You arrive in Lyon, a major French city that was actually a Roman capital. Join the guided walking tour to see the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourviere, a UNESCO site, and learn about the city's architecture and history. If you prefer, there's a guided bike tour option to cover more ground and see different neighborhoods.

Beaune
You'll travel by road to Beaune, a small village in Burgundy wine country. The main stop is the Hospices de Beaune, a beautifully preserved 15th-century building that's considered an architectural highlight and hosts one of France's most significant wine auctions. Back on the ship later, you'll have cheese and olives to sample.

Beaune to Lyon Airport
After breakfast, you'll disembark from the Star-Ship and transfer to the airport to head home. You'll leave with memories of French architecture, riverside scenery, and vineyards along the way.
