Itinerary
- Day 1
San José
You'll arrive in San José and have time to settle in at your own pace depending on when you get there. This evening, meet up with your tour leader and the rest of the group at the hotel for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. It's a good chance to try some Costa Rican food and get to know the people you'll be traveling with over the next week.

Landmarks San José - Day 2
San José to La Fortuna
After breakfast, you'll head out of San José toward La Fortuna, which sits at the gateway to Arenal Volcano National Park. By afternoon you'll arrive and do an orientation walk around town. The evening is yours to do what you want, though there's an optional hot springs excursion if you're interested in soaking in thermal waters and seeing waterfalls, followed by a buffet dinner.

- Day 3
La Fortuna
You have the full day to spend however you like in La Fortuna. If you want something more structured, there's an optional half-day rainforest hike that gets you up close with the volcano and the national park. Later in the evening, you can join an optional cooking class to learn how to prepare authentic Costa Rican dishes and eat what you make.

Landmarks Arenal Volcano - Day 4
La Fortuna to Monteverde
You'll leave La Fortuna this morning and travel by coach to Monteverde, driving through the cloud forest the whole way. Arriving in the afternoon, you'll get an orientation tour of the town, then have free time for lunch and the rest of the day. There's an optional coffee farm tour if you want to learn about Costa Rica's coffee production, and dinner is included at a local restaurant.

- Day 5
Monteverde
The entire day is free for you to explore Monteverde as you choose. One popular optional activity is the hanging bridges walk, which gives you views of the cloud forest from above plus a visit to a sloth sanctuary. If that's not your thing, you can walk around town, grab meals at local spots, or check out a butterfly farm instead.

- Day 6
Monteverde to Quepos
After breakfast you'll head to Quepos on the Pacific Coast, known for its wildlife diversity. Once you check in, you have free time to swim or relax on the beach. There's an optional sunset catamaran cruise that takes you past Manuel Antonio National Park where you might see humpback whales, stingrays, and dolphins. You can snorkel or use the onboard waterslide, then have included dinner afterward.

- Day 7
Quepos
You'll spend the day exploring Manuel Antonio National Park, which has everything from sandy beaches to rainforest. The park is filled with wildlife like sloths, monkeys, and toucans, plus lots of bird species, so bring your camera. There's free time for swimming in the water or lounging on the white-sand beaches. Your evening is completely open and you can do whatever you want.

Quepos to San José
You'll travel back to San José to spend more time in the capital. In the afternoon there's a driving tour where you'll see Spanish colonial buildings including Casa Amarillo, the National Theatre, and the main square. After that comes a farewell dinner with your group where you can talk through all the experiences from the past 8 days and trade contact info.

San José
