Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang to Nong Khiaw
You'll kick off your motorcycle adventure from Luang Prabang, heading out on dirt roads that follow the Nam Saung River all the way to Paxeng. This part of the ride gives you a feel for the terrain you're working with. From Paxeng, the real challenge begins with a steep mountain climb that takes you up along ridges with views across the Lao landscape spreading out below. After that section, you'll transition onto tar roads heading toward Viang Kham, where you can stop for traditional Lao food and refuel. Then it's onward to Nong Khiaw, a quieter riverside town positioned between limestone cliffs. You'll spend the night at a riverside hotel there, so you can rest up before the next day's ride.
