- Day 3
Edinburgh
Start with a two-hour walking tour through Edinburgh's Old Town, passing Victorian houses and cobblestone streets along the Royal Mile. Next, you'll head up to Edinburgh Castle and explore the grounds. The afternoon is free to do whatever you'd like. Later that evening, you'll attend the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of Scotland's top events.

Edinburgh to Lake District
You'll leave Scotland and travel to the Lake District. On the way, you'll stop at Vindolanda, a UNESCO site where a 60-minute guided tour shows you the Roman archaeological work happening there. After a break at Tebay motorway station, you'll continue on to Lake Windermere for a two-night stay overlooking the water and hills.

Lake District
You'll sail out on Lake Windermere, England's largest lake, taking in the calm views. After that, head to the charming village of Grasmere. Liverpool to Cotswolds
