- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be - Can Tho
Hotel pickup happens early from Ho Chi Minh City and then you'll head to Cai Be. Out on the Tien River, you're traveling by boat past orchard gardens and small villages along the way. There's a stop at a family business where they make coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn, plus you'll taste fresh fruit while listening to folk music. After paddling through the canals, lunch gets prepared and served right at a local garden where you can interact with residents. Cycling through the orchards comes next, followed by a visit to Ba Kiet's ancient house. From there it's back to Cai Be and then the journey continues to Can Tho City for the night.

Can Tho City to Chau Doc
After breakfast at your hotel, you're heading out on a boat to explore the Hau River tributaries and check out the busy Cai Rang Floating Market. A walking tour takes you through a local noodle factory, and then you'll see the Munir Ansay Pagoda, which is a striking Khmer temple. By boat you reach Con Son tourist area to look around a fruit plantation and taste whatever seasonal fruits are available. Following lunch, the route goes to Chau Doc where you'll row a boat through Tra Su Forest and its lush mangrove landscape. The Ba Chua Xu Temple gets a visit before checking into your hotel. Dinner happens at a local restaurant to wrap up the day.

Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City
After checking out and having breakfast, you'll head to the floating village and Cham Village to learn about how the Cham people live in the Mekong Delta. Chau Doc Market is next, where you can walk through the colorful stalls selling fresh produce and local goods. Hang Temple sits within Sam Mountain and it's worth finding because the cave has Buddhist sculptures and a quiet atmosphere. Before leaving the area, you'll stop at Ba Chua Xu Temple to pay respects. Then it's on to Long Xuyen City, and lunch at a local restaurant comes during the afternoon. The tour finishes with the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.
