- Larry· July 15th, 2025First of all, a shout out to our tour guide, Graziella! She kept our tour schedule spot on during a busy and hot tour season. She was always there to see that our transportation needs were met, even those we made privately. Most all our expectations were met of the tour, but there was one glaring exception, and that was two days of pre-tour hotel reservations in Venice. We were quoted one price by On The Go Tours, but charged double that amount by Tour Radar, the company that booked our tour. My questions were answered with boilerplate responses from Tour Radar. We were charged $1060 for two days at Hotel Amadeus at a time when direct bookings were about $150 per night (room for two).Show more

Asked on September 21st, 2024How physical is this tour. Is there a lot of walking up steps, hills, or trails?
- On The Go ToursOperator•Written September 2024
The Italian and Swiss Highlights tour involves a moderate level of physical activity. Based on the itinerary, there is sightseeing in cities like Rome, Venice, and Lucerne, which includes walking tours and visits to historical landmarks. Some areas might involve walking up steps or along trails, especially at places like the Vatican, Cinque Terre, and Mount Pilatus in Switzerland. While not excessively strenuous, it would require comfortable walking shoes and some stamina for exploring hills and scenic trails.
