  1. Day 1

    Auckland

    You'll arrive in Auckland and meet your Travel Director and group. After settling in, there's a guided tour of the waterfront that takes you out to Mission Bay, stopping at Bastion Point and the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial where you can see across to the North Shore. Later in the afternoon, your Travel Director will give you a tour briefing and welcome drink to kick things off.

    Auckland

    This is your day to choose. You can either take a 90-minute scenic cruise across the Hauraki Gulf on the Auckland Harbour, or head to the All Blacks Experience to try hands-on interactive activities and learn what it takes to be an All Black rugby player. It's all up to you.

    Auckland to Rotorua

    You'll travel through Cambridge, known as 'The Town of Trees and Champions,' heading toward Rotorua. Stop at the National Kiwi Hatchery Aotearoa to see kiwi conservation work, watch eggs being incubated, and see newly hatched chicks. Later, visit a Pounamu (Jade) workshop where artisans are at work and you'll learn about the cultural significance of greenstone in Maori tradition. Choice experiences are available if you want something different.

    Rotorua

    Rotorua has several options. Or relax at Wai Ariki Spa for a two-hour restorative journey. There's also a World War II amphibious vehicle tour of Rotorua's lakes. This evening, you might choose the Te Po Indigenous Experience at Te Puia with a Maori cultural performance and hangi-inspired cuisine.

    You'll head back to Auckland by coach, then fly to Queenstown, the adventure capital. During the drive to the airport and flight, you'll wind around the shores of Lake Wakatipu as you arrive. Once there, talk with your Travel Director about dining options for tonight.

  6. Day 6

    Queenstown

    Spend your day in Queenstown however you'd like. Movie fans can take a scenic tour to Glenorchy to see Lord of the Rings filming locations. Wine lovers can join a boutique wine tour sampling Central Otago's Pinot Noir at four vineyards. In the evening, relax on a high-speed catamaran across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station for a BBQ dinner and farm show at the Colonel's Homestead.

    Queenstown to Lake Tekapo

    Head to the Mackenzie region with a stop in Cromwell to taste stone fruit at a local orchard stall. Then get your cameras ready for Lake Tekapo's views framed by rugged hills and snow-capped mountains. In Tekapo, you'll see the Church of the Good Shepherd and a bronze collie dog statue, a tribute to sheepdogs that helped develop the area. Optional activities include scenic flights over Mount Cook National Park and glaciers. Tonight, you can choose to view the UNESCO Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve with a local astronomy guide to see constellations like the Southern Cross.
