Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
Start your morning at Jama Masjid, one of Delhi's most important religious sites, then hop into a rickshaw to navigate through the narrow, crowded streets of Chandni Chowk. The energy there is intense, with vendors, traffic, and people everywhere. After that, head to Khari Baoli, which is Asia's largest spice market, and you'll see mountains of colorful spices stacked in shops. Later, check out the Agrasen ki Baoli stepwell, a fascinating structure with lots of levels descending below street level. From there, visit Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, which is calm and welcoming to visitors. By afternoon, make your way to India Gate for photos and some breathing room from the crowds. You'll also see Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan from the outside as you pass through that area. Before evening, spend time at the National Museum if you want more historical context. Stop by Gandhi Smriti to pay respects, then catch the Lotus Temple, which has a unique architectural design. End your day at the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO heritage site with intricate stone carvings and history dating back centuries.
