Itinerary
- Day 1
Ho Chi Minh City
You'll land at Tan Son Nhat Airport and look for your Wonderscape Travel driver at the lobby. After transferring to your hotel, you have the rest of the day to check in and get settled. Ho Chi Minh City is yours to explore whenever you feel like it, so grab a coffee or walk around the neighborhood at your own pace.

My Tho
Head out early toward My Tho on the Mekong River. Start by checking out the historic Vinh Trang Pagoda, then board a sampan to cruise around the Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. At Unicorn Island, you'll take country walks, try tropical fruits, and hear some folk music. The day includes visits to honey-bee farms, coconut candy workshops, and fruit plantations. After lunch, either cycle around Tan Thach village or relax in hammocks before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City to Hue
Spend the morning in Ho Chi Minh City, then transfer to the airport for your flight to Hue. Once you land, your driver takes you to your hotel. Check-in happens at 2:00 PM, so you'll have the afternoon to settle in and rest up.

Hoi An
The full day starts at 8:00 AM with a dragon boat ride on the Perfume River to see Thien Mu Pagoda, then you'll walk through the Hue Imperial Citadel where Vietnam's last royal dynasty lived. Stop by Dong Ba Market to soak in local life and find souvenirs. After lunch with traditional Hue dishes, enjoy an herbal foot bath before visiting the royal tombs of Khai Dinh and Minh Mang. You'll also see the Conical Hat Village and Incense Stick Village with working demonstrations. By 4:00-5:00 PM you're back at the hotel, then transfer to Hoi An for the night.

Hoi An
Starting from your hotel in the town center, you'll walk through Hoi An Old Town's charming historic streets while learning about the local history. Check out the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge from the early 1600s, then see the Fujian Assembly Hall where Chinese immigrants worshipped back in the 17th century. The 200-year-old Tan Ky Old House shows off Vietnamese, Japanese, and Chinese architecture all mixed together. Spend time browsing handicraft shops, art galleries, and smaller laneways to really feel what makes Hoi An unique.

Hoi An to Hanoi
Spend your final Hoi An morning however you like, then transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Hanoi. When you arrive in the capital, your driver meets you for the transfer to your hotel with check-in at 2:00 PM. The afternoon opens up to explore things like Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, the Hanoi Old Quarter, the Opera House, or catch a water puppet show at Hoan Kiem Lake. If you're interested in something more contemporary, the train street coffee scene is also worth checking out.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
After breakfast, you'll drive about 2.5 hours to Halong Bay with a quick 20-minute stop along the way. By noon you're at Halong City jetty and checking into your overnight boat. Lunch comes while you cruise out into the bay surrounded by thousands of limestone karst formations. The afternoon is yours to relax or join whatever activities your boat offers. You'll spend the night on the boat anchored among the dramatic rock formations, with dinner served on board.

Halong Bay to Hanoi
Get up early to catch the sunrise over Halong Bay, then have breakfast on board as you cruise through thousands of limestone islands. You'll stop at a floating fishing village where the fishermen share stories about their daily life. Lunch happens on the boat as you cruise back to Halong City pier. From there, you return to Hanoi and arrive at the Old Quarter around 3:30-4:00 PM.

You have the full day free in Hanoi. If you want structure, there's an optional group city tour for USD 50 per person that includes lunch and visits to Tran Quoc Pagoda (Hanoi's oldest from the 6th century), Ho Chi Minh Complex, One Pillar Pagoda, Vietnam Ethnology Museum, Temple of Literature (Vietnam's first university founded in 1070), and Hoa Lo Prison (built by the French 1886-1901). The tour picks up at 8:00 AM and returns by 4:30 PM, or you can explore on your own.
