Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Lisbon
You'll arrive at Lisbon airport and get transferred to your hotel. Check-in opens at 3:00 PM, so you'll have the rest of the afternoon to settle in and start exploring the city at your own pace.



- Day 2
Belém - Cascais - Cabo da Roca - Sintra
After breakfast, head out at 9:00 AM toward Belém to see the monuments from the Portuguese Discoveries era and try the famous Pastel de Belém tart there. Then you'll drive along the coast to Cascais, stopping for lunch and some free time. From there, visit Cabo da Roca, Europe's westernmost point, before heading to Sintra. Spend the evening getting a feel for the village before heading back to Lisbon.

- Day 3
Lisbon
This day is yours to do what you want in Lisbon. Wander around on your own, check out neighborhoods, grab lunch wherever looks good. If you'd like, optional tours and activities are available through the Small Groups Travel Club Guide for you to consider.

- Day 4
Nazaré - Alcobaça - Fátima
After breakfast, you'll leave at 9:00 AM for Óbidos, a medieval walled village where you can walk the streets and sample Ginja de Óbidos, the local cherry liquor served in chocolate cups. Next stop is Nazaré, known for its massive waves and long beach, where you'll have lunch and free time. Later, visit Alcobaça monastery, a UNESCO site, to see the tombs of Pedro and Inês and taste pastries made by the nuns. You'll arrive in Fátima for the night with time to relax.

- Day 5
Batalha - Lisbon
After breakfast and checking out at 10:00 AM, you'll travel through Aljustrel, the village where the three shepherds of Fátima were born. Stop to see Lucia's house, then continue to Batalha to explore the UNESCO-listed monastery. From there, it's back to Lisbon for the evening and free time to wind down.

- Day 6
Lisbon
After breakfast, the day is open for you to explore Lisbon on your own terms. Walk neighborhoods you missed, try a restaurant you've been curious about, revisit somewhere you loved. The Small Groups Travel Club Guide has optional tours listed if you'd rather join a group activity instead.

- Day 7
Departure from Lisbon
After breakfast and checking out, you'll transfer to Lisbon airport 3 hours and 30 minutes before your intercontinental flight departs, giving you plenty of time to get through check-in and security.
