Itinerary
- Day 1
Adelaide
You'll arrive in Adelaide and make your way to your hotel for a two-night stay. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you'd like, so take some time to walk around and get a feel for South Australia's capital city at your own pace.

- Day 2
Adelaide
Your hotel pickup happens before 9:15am for the Adelaide sightseeing tour. You'll head through the city along North Terrace, passing the governor's house and seeing the River Torrens, Adelaide Zoo, South Australian Museum, and Adelaide Botanic Gardens as you go. After some free time for lunch and checking out Adelaide Central Market, the tour takes you to Mt Lofty summit where you can see across Adelaide and out to Gulf St Vincent. From there, you'll drive to Hahndorf, Australia's oldest German settlement, and stop at Beerenberg Farm Shop to learn about the area's history. Before heading back to Adelaide Central Station around 5:15pm, you'll have afternoon tea or try a beer tasting at the Iconic Hahndorf Inn.

Adelaide to Marla
You'll head to Ghan railway station and board your train at noon, departing Adelaide. As you settle into your cabin, watch the rolling pastoral lands pass by from your window, or head to the lounge car to meet other travelers. Later in the day, you'll see some of the oldest rock formations on Earth as the train moves through the Flinders Ranges. By evening, as darkness falls over the rugged outback, you'll sit down to a regionally-inspired dinner with all-inclusive fine wines and beverages included.

Landmarks Flinders Ranges - Day 4
Alice Springs
Early morning finds you at Marla, a remote outback outpost in South Australia, where freshly brewed coffee or juice greets you as the sun rises over the desert. After experiencing this unique sunrise, you'll resume your train journey through the MacDonnell Ranges and have brunch service. By midday, you'll arrive in Alice Springs, the Red Centre outpost sitting 1,500 kilometres from the nearest major city. You'll have the rest of the day to explore this remote but vibrant location, with several off-train excursions available if you want to delve into its historic legacy and unique environment.

- Day 5
Darwin
The train brings you to Katherine in the tropical north, where you can choose off-train experiences to explore the pristine wilderness from water or land. If you opt for the water route, you'll cruise through Nitmiluk Gorge, see ancient Indigenous rock paintings, and learn about the Jawoyn people and their connection to this land. Later, you'll arrive in Darwin to complete your train journey. After catching a taxi to your Darwin hotel, you'll have the evening to settle in and perhaps take a stroll around the neighborhood and central Darwin.

Darwin
Your day is open in Darwin, and you'll have a Hop On Hop Off Bus day pass to explore the Northern Territory's capital on your own terms. Choose which stops along the route appeal to you most. The city sits on a massive and spectacular harbour on the Timor Sea, and its multicultural population and year-round warm weather make it a vibrant place with plenty to see and do.

Kakadu National Park
Your Kakadu National Park Explorer tour departs around 6:30am and returns to Darwin at approximately 7:30pm. You'll travel in an air-conditioned coach with an experienced drive-guide through Australia's largest national park and a World Heritage-listed site. The route takes you along the Arnhem Highway where you'll see the beautiful Marrakai Plains as a backdrop. You'll visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn about the region and the Bininj people, then join a Yellow Water Billabong cruise with a local guide to spot saltwater crocodiles and colorful birds. Later, you'll walk with your drive-guide at Nourlangie to view different forms of Aboriginal rock art, and lunch will be provided at Cooinda Lodge.
