Itinerary
- Day 1
Kigali to Musanze
Your Golden Rwanda Safaris driver will meet you at Kigali International Airport and give you a quick rundown about what's ahead. From there, it's roughly a 2-hour drive to Hotel Muhabura in Musanze where you'll spend your first night. If your flight timing doesn't work well, you can arrange to stay in Kigali instead and head out the next day.

- Day 2
Volcanoes National Park Gorilla Trekking
Early morning, you'll head to Virunga National Park for gorilla trekking. You need to be at RDB's Office by 7am for the briefing before starting the trek. This is the main event of your trip and tracking the gorillas is quite the experience. After you finish trekking, you'll return to Hotel Muhabura for the night.

Golden Monkeys Trekking
After breakfast, you'll get transferred to park headquarters where Volcanoes National Park guides will walk through the Golden Monkey trekking details and briefing. Once the trek wraps up, you'll head back to the hotel for lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon taking in the scenic views around the hotel. You'll stay overnight there.

Landmarks/POIs Volcanoes National Park - Day 4
Twin Lakes and Kigali
Today you'll check out the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo, which sit at the base of Muhabura volcano near the Uganda border. The deep blue water is surrounded by steep hills, waterfalls, and the Virunga volcanic mountains in the background, so the scenery is really something. Depending on when you're leaving and if you didn't get to Kigali earlier, you might have time for a city trip to see the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi and other spots around town before heading out.
