Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Tokyo
You'll touch down at Tokyo Narita or Haneda Airport and meet your driver in the arrival hall. From there, it's a private vehicle ride to your hotel, giving you a chance to settle in and get oriented to the city.


- Day 2
Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji
Head out to Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five lakes, and take an excursion boat across the water for views of Mt. Fuji. After that, you'll ride the cable car up Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park for even better vistas. Later, make your way to Oshino Hakkai to see eight crystal-clear springs clustered in this small village.

Tokyo Markets and Temples
Start your morning at Tsukiji Fish Market, where you'll walk through stalls of fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables. Next stop is Senso-Ji, Tokyo's oldest temple from over 1,400 years ago. After that, head to Akihabara to check out Electric Town and see the electronics and anime shops the neighborhood is known for.

Tokyo to Kyoto
You'll board the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Kyoto, roughly 2 hours and 21 minutes of travel time. Once you arrive, head to your hotel, which sits conveniently close to the station so you can get there on your own.

Arashiyama
Take a half-day walking tour through Arashiyama and see Tenryuji Temple with its gardens and views. Walk through the towering Sagano Bamboo Forest, then cross the Togetsukyo Bridge. Later, explore Okochi-Sanso Villa to see traditional Japanese residential architecture, and you'll get a free cup of matcha at the teahouse there.

Kyoto to Osaka: Fushimi Inari, Nara
Start at Fushimi Inari Shrine in southern Kyoto with its thousands of vermilion torii gates and forest trails on Mount Inari. Then head to Nara Park to see free-roaming sika deer and feed them with specialty crackers. Stop by Todai-Ji Temple to see the grand Nandaimon gate and the massive Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall), one of the world's largest wooden structures. Before you wrap up, watch traditional mochi-pounding demonstrations at Nakatanidou shop.

Osaka
Visit Osaka Castle Park to learn about the shogunate class. You'll get to dress up as a ninja and learn traditional techniques. Check out the distinctive Donki Ferris Wheel outside the Don Quixote store. End your evening at Dotonbori, a shopping and entertainment district that comes alive after dark with neon lights and animated signs.
