Fes Airport to Fes
You'll arrive at Fes Airport and get transferred to your riad in the old medina. This is where your Moroccan journey kicks off, so you'll have time to settle in and get oriented to the city's narrow, winding streets.

- Day 2
Fes to Merzouga Desert
Early start from Fes heading toward Merzouga Desert. The route takes you through Ifrane in the Middle Atlas, then to Azrou's cedar forest where Barbary apes roam freely. After lunch in Midelt, you'll drive through the Atlas Mountains and Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, known for its fossils. By evening you're at Erg Chebbi dunes for a camel ride to a luxury camp where traditional music plays around the fire.

- Day 3
Merzouga Desert
You'll explore the desert with a local who shows you nomadic life. The day includes driving through Erg Chebbi, visiting a Berber tent for tea, checking out coal mines in Mefis, and stopping in Khamlia village for Gnaoua music and Berber pizza. There's also a desert lake nearby that attracts birds. Evening offers optional desert activities if you want them.

- Day 4
Merzouga Desert to Dades Valley
Start before sunrise with a walk to a tall dune, then shower and breakfast at camp. Head to Rissani's busy souks and markets, then continue to Todgha Gorges where 300-meter limestone walls tower above you. Later you'll drive through the kasbah-filled landscape toward Dades Valley, ending the night overlooking green fields of fig and walnut trees.

- Day 5
Dades Valley to Marrakech
After breakfast, drive through the valley of roses and Skoura Oases with a stop at 17th-century Amridil Kasbah. Continue to Ouarzazate and then to Ait-Benhaddou, a UNESCO site famous for its red mudbrick structures from the 11th century. Cross the High Atlas through Tizi N'tichka pass at 2260m/7415ft, arriving in Marrakech by evening to check into your riad.

- Day 6
Marrakech
Meet your local guide at the riad for a walking tour of Marrakech. You'll see Djemaa El-Fna square with its performers, the 12th-century Kotoubia Mosque, Ali Ben Youssef Madrassa, Bahia Palace, and Badi Palace ruins. The colorful souks come next, followed by Majorelle Gardens and the Yves Saint Laurent museum in the newer part of town before heading back to your riad.

Marrakech to Essaouira
Head to Essaouira on the coast and spend your day here as you like. Walk through the medina and souqs, check out art galleries, explore the port, or relax on the beach. Water sports are available if that interests you, or you can just wander and take in the coastal atmosphere.

Landmarks Essaouira Medina Essaouira Port - Day 8
Essaouira to Casablanca
Free morning in Essaouira before driving about 3 hours toward Casablanca through fields of barley and olive trees. Visit Hassan II Mosque, the largest in the country and one of the few that welcomes non-Muslim visitors. Rest at your hotel, then take an evening stroll along the Kournish by the Atlantic Ocean.

Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Drive north along the Atlantic toward Rabat, Morocco's capital. Check out Oudaya Kasbah fortress, Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum, and the Royal Palace area. Explore Chalah, an old Phoenician site above the river. Later you'll drive through wheat and barley fields under the Rif Mountains and arrive in Chefchaouen by early evening. This blue-painted city is perched under mountain peaks, and you'll have time for an evening walk.

- Day 10
Chefchaouen
Your full day in Chefchaouen is yours to spend. A morning walk through the blue-washed streets is highly recommended. You can see the Jewish Mellah, the 14th-century Kasbah, waterfalls at Ras El-maa, and a Spanish mosque on a nearby hilltop. A local square by the Kasbah comes alive in the evening with restaurants and shops. Optional trekking to Akchour waterfalls (40km away) through a national park is available if you want it.

Chefchaouen to Tangier
Leave Chefchaouen and cross the green Rif Mountains toward Tangier. First stop is Tetouan, a white city on a mountainside with whitewashed buildings throughout. Continue through the mountains to Tangier and explore its medina with narrow alleys and 15th-century walls. Visit Cap Spartel where the Atlantic and Mediterranean meet, then see Hercules caves with their rock formations shaped by waves. Return to the medina for the night.

Tangier Departure
Your last day of the tour. You'll have free time before your transfer to the port or airport for your ferry or flight home. Use the morning to do any final shopping or exploring, then head out for your journey back.
