- GAGlen· October 27th, 2023Egypt mythology comes to life with MoMo, our tour guide. Hotels were good, the felucca was great, who doesn’t like a pyramid or 10, and temples galore. The overnight trains were very tired. No hard sells to buy stuff from co-ops. There is a lot of stuff that we did have to deal with and Egypt tipping is over the top, and problems just didn’t appear to happen. It’s like they’ve done it all before…Show more

Francine· February 25th, 2023Once we arrived at the Cairo airport, we were greeted by your representative. He took care of everything, so entering Egypt was a breeze. Our 10 day trip was amazing. We were kept busy every day, no time to be bored. I will say, the sleeper train needs some upkeep, but given the situation of the country we were in, we made the best of the situation. Our tour guide, Nader, is the best!!! He made our group feel like we were family. He is knowledgeable, funny, patient and very helpful helping us with the locals. I recommend this trip to anyone who wants to learn Egyptian history and experience first hand Egyptian culture. - AEleanor Jane Cole· January 17th, 2020This was the trip of my life, absolutely awesome, from getting into the ancient pyramids, walking around the funerary temple of Saqqara, visiting the Valley of the Kings, Abu Simbel, Karnak and all the amazing ancient temples plus viewing the mummies of the Great Ramses II or young Tuthankamun. But that was just half of the fun, we got an amazing group of people who made this double better thanks to our awesome guide and his people's skills making us bound like a family and getting us into the local areas on his spare time to smoke some shisha or meet the locals who were always so welcoming and nice, mostly the children waving at us with such enthusiasm and big smiles. I went there looking for ancient temples and I come back remembering its friendly people even more than the temples themselves. A great experience, definitely worth it. Feluccas are simple, traditional Egyptian sailboats. They carry between 8-12 people comfortably. The boat's deck is draped with soft colourful cushions that serve as your lounging and meal area during the day and as your sleeping area at night. You need to bring a towel and can opt to bring a sleeping bag/sleeping sheet. You can hire a freshly laundered winter warmth blanket for USD$15 for the 2-night stay.

As our highest priority is the health and safety of our travellers, crew and local communities, passengers are required to be fully vaccinated when travelling with us to countries that are still in the early stages of vaccinating and managing COVID outbreaks. This practice also ensures that we are not adding avoidable strain to any country's healthcare system, where resources remain under pressure. If you are unwilling or unable to be vaccinated for medical reasons, you may apply for an exemption, which will be assessed on an individual basis. To apply, we ask you to provide supporting documentation from a medical professional to our Customer Care for review.
