Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech to Dades Valley

    You'll leave your hotel at 7:30 AM and drive through the Atlas Mountains, taking the Tizi Ntichka pass with several photo stops along the way. The route takes you to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site that's been featured in countless films. From there, head to Ouarzazate to see Kasbah Taourirte before moving through the Valley of the Roses. By evening you'll reach your boutique guesthouse in Dades Valley, where dinner and overnight accommodation wait for you.

  2. Day 2

    Dades Valley to Merzouga

    After breakfast, drive along the Road of 1001 Kasbahs toward Tinghir oasis, passing fortified villages from old caravan trade routes. You'll walk through the oasis to watch locals farming and herding cattle, then move on to Todgha Gorges where the rock walls are truly spectacular. Grab lunch at a local café, then continue to Rissani, an important historical site as the birthplace of Morocco's ruling Alaouite dynasty and a major starting point for Sahara caravans. Later you'll reach Merzouga for a camel trek across Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, finishing with dinner and live entertainment under the stars at a desert camp.

  3. Day 3

    Merzouga to Fes

    Starting with breakfast at the desert camp, you'll begin a long drive toward Fes. The route takes you through Ziz Valley and Errachidia, the capital of Tafilalt region. Next you'll cross through the Middle Atlas Mountains with its cedar forests and Berber towns like Imouzzar and Ifran. You'll arrive at Fes late in the afternoon, where your tour ends with a drop-off at your riad or hotel.

    Thank you for an amazing experience. Mustafa was fun, caring, informative and very knowledgeable about all the areas we visited. We learnt so much from him. The accomodation was excellent and the recommendation to upgrade our tent in the desert was definitely worth it. Our guide in the desert, Saed, was also fun and attentive. For future travellers make sure you have a long scarf for wind protection in the desert, just in case. We travelled in a spacious air con van which was definitely needed. Thank you for an amazing experience. Morocco has been fabulous, especially the Sahara. I would definitely use this company again. Shukran Tour Radar and Mustafa. 🤎💙🩵

    My wife and I just did a 8 day tour through Marocco with Private Desert Tours and we had the best experience possible! We started from Marrakesh and went to Merzouga Desert, Fes, Chefshouan, etc. Everything was perfect. The hotels (Riads and Casas) were amazing, the transportation was very comfortable, we had guides waiting for us in every main city and tourist location, the food was incredible. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
