Itinerary
- Day 1
Edinburgh to Oban
Head out from Edinburgh Bus Station and travel through the Scottish countryside, passing Stirling Castle along the way. You'll see Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, then stop in Inveraray, a small whitewashed town worth a quick walk around. From there, continue on to Oban, the coastal town known for its whisky and fresh seafood. Plan to arrive in the afternoon with time to settle in and grab dinner by the water.

- Day 2
Mull - Iona
Take an early ferry from Oban to the Isle of Mull where you might see white-tailed eagles if you're patient. After exploring Mull, board a second ferry heading to Iona, an island with real historical significance as the birthplace of Celtic Christianity. Walk through the ancient burial grounds where Scottish kings were laid to rest and check out the historic abbey. The scenery here is windswept and a bit remote, which adds to the feeling of stepping back in time before you return to Oban in the evening.

- Day 3
Oban to Balmacara
Drive north along the coast and pass Castle Stalker before heading into Glencoe valley, where the dramatic landscape and dark history give the place a real sense of weight. You'll continue through Fort William and see Ben Nevis, the highest peak in Britain. Later, drive through quiet glens and pass Eilean Donan Castle on the way to Balmacara. By evening, you can choose between walking local trails, touring the Balmacara Estate, or heading to a local pub for dinner.

Isle of Skye
Spend the day on the Isle of Skye with your guide choosing activities based on what the weather allows. Depending on conditions, you might do the Quiraing hill walk or tackle the Old Man of Storr Walk for better views. Visit Neist Point Lighthouse and use the day for hiking and photography in the pristine landscape. Head back to Balmacara by late afternoon after a full day outdoors.

- Day 5
Balmacara to Edinburgh
Start by visiting the 13th century Eilean Donan Castle, then drive through dramatic Scottish scenery with stops at Loch Duich and the Five Sisters of Kintail. Break for lunch around Loch Ness and take a moment to scan the water, just in case. From there, continue through the rugged Grampian Mountains and pass Dalwhinnie, Scotland's highest whisky distillery, with a quick refreshment stop. You'll arrive back at Edinburgh Bus Station by 19:00 to end the tour.
