Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo/Giza to Saqqara
Your private guide picks you up from your hotel and heads to Saqqara, Egypt's largest burial ground. You'll start at the Step Pyramid of Zoser, which is the oldest pyramid in Egypt, then move on to explore the pyramids of Unas and Titi where you can see ancient pyramid texts and some remaining colors on the walls. After that, you'll tour several important tombs including Ti's tomb, the Mastaba of Kagemni, the Physicians tomb (Ankh Mahor), and Mereruka's tomb which has impressive scenes and colors throughout. By midday you'll grab lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to your hotel.
