- CPChelsea· September 13th, 2024I was fortunate enough to have Courtney as my trip manager for the European Quest trip starting 31-05-2024. This was my first time as a solo traveller and I was nervous& anxious to say the very least. The way Courts made me feel safe in another continent that wasn’t where I call home is something I will remember forever. I remember I thought I’d left my passport in Paris, Courtney was all over it straight away while I was panicking and crying, she remained professional, reassuring and so helpful. Turns out my passport was in my bag the whole time (oops). Courts took not only me but everyone under her wing and had our best interest at heart. She cared for us as strangers like I’d never imagine. She was full of knowledge and had a response to every question asked. By the end of the trip, courts made me feel like I’d never left home. We had a very welcoming, inclusive and supportive group, I gained many life long friendships not only with the travellers but with our TM. I have thought about my European Quest trip everyday since and feel nothing but love, respect and appreciation that I got to experience this journey and it was as great as it was mostly because of Courtney. She attended hospital for a traveller; she saved me from drowning at the beach, she carried me to taxis when I was intoxicated, she hugged me when I was sad, she laughed with me, she done everything she could to make our trip special and she done a damn good job at it. I even got a tattoo to remind me of the trip- that’s how incredible it was. Courts nick name to me was “my Europe mum” so with that, I didn’t just make a friend I made a sister& a Europe mum. Asked on October 1st, 2024Is the same airport arrival and departure? Do you need to arrive the day on the trip or a day before? When the trip is over, what time is good to book the going back trip, the same day or the day after?
ContikiOperator•Written October 2024Our preferred arrival and departure airport is at London Heathrow (LHR) or London Gatwick (LGW). We require travellers to book pre accommodation in London Royal National Hotel to arrive prior trip departure date, as our tour will depart between 04:45am-06:45am on the first day. On the last day, Complimentary return transfer to London by ferry. Post-night accommodation will be required as arrival at London hotel will be at about 18:30.

Traveler•Written October 2024No exceptions? I did a tour recently also up to 35. Surprisingly I was able to do all the adventures, for example the 5 hours hike I was never behind. Everyone thought I was in my 20s until I told them. I do work out 5 days a week and hike a lot.

Contiki is a youth travel company that has an age limit of 18-35 only. Not to worry though- Contiki has a few sister companies, such as Costsaver and Trafalgar, that do not have that kind of an age restriction, and whos customers average around 55+ years of age. These sister companies have similar itineraries to Contiki and work with Tour Radar.

The European Quest trip is only available in multi-share rooms with accommodate up to 6 Contiki travelers of the same gender. Therefore, you and your wife would not be able to book a private room for this trip. However, we do offer the European Wanderer trip in a twin room which has a very similar itinerary to the European Quest trip and would allow you and your wife to be in a private room. We also have an available departure for this trip on 24-May-2022.
