  Let me start by explaining that the customer service of Intrepid is beyond terrible. I had to get TourRadar involved to get simple answers. And Even when TourRadar got involved, Intrepid answered just the last question I had asked and I had to go back to request help from TourRadar again and again. Intrepid has a really bad customer service. Even after I got to Casablanca, I had a hard time getting them to answer and when I brought up the issue with the hotel they asked me to handle it myself and did not offer any help even though they had done this booking for me. The hotels in this tour had older infrastructure, which was ok. What was not ok was how dirty some of these stays were. The hotel in Casablanca had mold growing out of the bathroom tiles and the whole room overall had dust and the floors were unclean. The room in Fez was super dirty and there were hairs in the bedding, same as. The accommodations for this tour are between 1 and two stars. Food was below average. Hardly any meat or protein. Mostly bread for breakfast, perhaps one boiled egg. Lots of carbs and tasteless food. We had to ask for more seasoning. The tour guides and drivers were all excellent and the best part of this trip.

  Although Tour Radar once again was a pleasure to pre-book my tour with, Intrepid Tours was a nightmare once they determined that, only 4 short days into an 18 day tour, it was to be suspended due to the Covid-19. After that they basically abandoned their clients to their own fate and did not assist us in any way, even with the urging of the UK Consulate for us to appeal to them for help to acquire a flight home, we were ignored. The only person who continued to try to help and stayed in touch was Mustapha, our fine guide, which he did on his own time and dime. Prior to that, he did his best to make it all work and to show us what he could of his beautiful Country, elevating our experience because of his expertise in the field. He even took it on himself, on that last terrible day when we were told the bad news, to take us to Chefchouen, so we could at least have that last lovely place to remember. So thank you, Mustapha. But I will never, if I can at all help it, take an organized tour using Intrepid Tours again. Their customer care and service was zero to nil and will not be having my business again.

  Mohammed the tour leader was outstanding. Casablanca is worth no more than one day early arrival. Food was quite good though after a while repetitive. The desert experience was simply awesome. The nation itself has issues with cleanliness and food and water safety. Be prepared to see neglected animals as well. A few less sales pitches disguised as tours would be nice but you'll always have the option of walking out of them.

  I loved this trip! It was my first group tour and it met all of my expectations and exceeded others. All the accomadation was far beyond my expectations for an original rated trip. There's a lot of long travel days in the second half of the trip but our van was relatively comfortable and air conditioned. Our tour leader Mariam worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for an adventure!

  1. Hotels shd have enough hot water / light hanging fr shower tub not fixed(Les Caspien) 2. Confirmed communication (2X) regarding finishing point /confirmed transport voucher given wrongly. Referring to tour conditions???? 3. Basic desert camp has no water in toilet ...1 kettle of water for 17 of us to use in bathroom. Come on....
