    Passau

    You'll arrive in Passau, a university city where old-town charm meets contemporary life. After settling in, board your river cruise ship in the afternoon. The ship departs at 4:00 PM, so you have some time to get comfortable before heading out onto the Danube.

  2. Day 2

    Wachau to Vienna

    You'll cruise along the northern Rhine and stop in the charming town of Hoorn before heading to Vienna, arriving by early afternoon. Once there, spend your time checking out museums, galleries, or the palaces scattered throughout the city. If you're interested, catch a performance at the state opera house. Vienna has plenty going on culturally throughout the year, so there's really something for everyone depending on what appeals to you.

  3. Day 3

    Dürnstein - Melk

    Start the morning in Dürnstein walking through the medieval architecture and famous wine terraces. You'll see the castle ruins where King Richard the Lionheart was held prisoner years ago. After leaving at noon, you'll head to Melk in the afternoon to check out the Benedictine monastery sitting on a hilltop. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you'll get great views over the Danube valley from up there.

    Linz

    Arriving early in Linz, you'll have the day to explore this modern Austrian city and its cultural attractions and art galleries that show off the area's creativity. Stop at a café and try the local specialties, particularly the Linzer Torte if you have a sweet tooth. It's a traditional pastry worth sampling. Then you'll depart in the evening.

    Service on board was excellent! Waiters and room service were great. But entertainment wise was rather poor. Cruise was was advertised as German and English mostly German was used. Out of 38 minutes in German, English was use for 3 minutes?? WE had to ask for some translation.. The Cruise administration and presentation on adverting are very misleading. Premium All-Inclusive is just a misleading name and I think it is not the right name for a package!!! Even to have a reserved seats for meals we were asked for daily fee!

    This review is about a 7-day river cruise, not a guided tour. The Moselle River is a scenic delight, with vineyard-covered hillsides, charming villages, castles and chateaux. Our boat was the A-Rosa Silva. About 180 passengers. All meals buffet style. We ate very well. The wines included in Premium all-inclusive were mediocre. We knew from a previous A-Rosa cruise that most passengers are German and non English speaking. We missed not having anyone to talk with other than one couple with whom we sometimes shared a table at meal times. The boat did not have very effective AC. The dining room could get pretty uncomfortable. We sometimes took our plates up on deck, and that was lovely. We learned to keep our cabin shades down and curtains closed during the day when we were on the sunny side.
