After a quick breakfast back at the vehicle, board 4x4 shuttles for the final 5km through the ancient Tsauchab River-bed to Sossusvlei. Walk through Dead Vlei with your guide, seeing the 1000-year-old skeletal trees, and climb one of the world's highest dunes. Back at Sesriem you'll have lunch and a swim, then explore the nearby Sesriem Canyon on foot. If you're interested, there's an optional evening walk to Elim Dune for sunset.

    · September 19th, 2025
Our 12‑day Namibia Classic Camping Safari with World Adventure Tours was an incredible blend of breathtaking landscapes and easygoing companionship. We journeyed from the wildlife-rich north through Mt. Etjo, Okonjati Reserve, and the magical nighttime wildlife watching at Etosha’s Okaukuejo waterhole, down to the dramatic Skeleton Coast, dunes of Sossusvlei, haunting Kolmanskop, and finally to the vast expanse of Fish River Canyon and the quiver tree forest. We experienced so much of this beautiful, diverse country. What made the trip truly special were the people. Erastus guided us with quiet confidence and personal insights. He made sure we kept to our schedule while also giving us opportunities for spontaneous moments and unforgettable photo opportunities. And Bronie, our assistant and chef, kept us grounded and content with delicious meals and great humor. Plus, our fellow travelers—laughing over the bumpy roads of the game drives, helping each other put up our tents, singing by the campfire, watching the meteorite shower together on a dark night at our campsite—turned the journey into a shared adventure rather than just a tour. I highly recommend this tour!

We visited a huge amount of sites in Namibia without feeling time pressured. Our leader and driver, Erastus and Michael worked so hard and succeeded making the trip a pleasure for us all. This tour of Namibia is wonderful and I feel as though saw the best of this beautiful country. We learned a lot about the country as we toured.
