This was a grandpa-granddaughter (13) trip. To be an educational experience with challenging new activities. Through TourRadar we found this Wonderful Holidays UK tour of Ecuador including the Galapagos. Looked perfect. Whitewater rafting in the headwaters of the Amazon, Quito, Otavalo and other communities of the Andes, snorkeling at the Galapagos. Questions to Wonderful were quickly responded to with straightforward answers that convinced us. It was all it was advertised to be… and more. Penny, Barbara, Ronnie and all were at our fingertips while we were in Ecuador. Everything was high quality: the guides, the equipment, the transportation, the rooms. Couldn’t ask for more. Do we recommend? Absolutely yes.

"Fantastic Tours but a Disappointing Start" Our holiday got off to a rough start. When we arrived at our hotel, we were too early to check in, which was expected. But even after returning at 3 PM, our rooms still weren't ready—we had to wait another hour before we could finally settle in. Unfortunately, the rooms were dirty, and to make things worse, my sister and daughter found cockroaches and male underwear behind the bidet in theirs. The next day, things didn’t improve initially. Our scheduled tour got disrupted because the guide went to the wrong hotel and claimed we weren’t in the lobby at the arranged meeting time. As a result, we missed seeing Sugarloaf Mountain in daylight, which was disappointing since I missed out on the photos I was really looking forward to. That said, the travel operator responded impressively once we reached out. They quickly arranged a private tour to make up for the missed one, and everything from that point on went much more smoothly. As a goodwill gesture, they even added an extra Ginga Tropical experience at the end, which we really appreciated. Out of all the hotels, our favorite by far was the one in Iguazu Falls—clean, comfortable, and everything we had hoped for. Overall, despite the bumpy start, the tours themselves were amazing. The effort the company put into making things right didn’t go unnoticed, and that really helped turn things around. I would recommend them, but suggest they double-check hotel bookings and tour pick-up logistics in the future to avoid similar issues for others.
