Itinerary
- Day 1
Hurghada to Luxor
Your driver picks you up from your Hurghada hotel around 5:30 am for a 3 to 4 hour drive to Luxor. Once you reach the 5-star Nile Cruise, you'll check in and have lunch on board. Later in the afternoon starting around 3 pm, head to Karnak Temple to see the Great Hypo-style Hall, towering columns, and obelisks dating back over 2000 years. After that, you'll go to Luxor Temple, which shows a blend of ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic architecture. Return to the cruise for dinner and settle in for your first night on the boat.

Cairo to Aswan
Your driver picks you up from your Cairo or Giza hotel around 4:30 am for transfer to Cairo Airport (time can be adjusted based on your flight). Fly to Aswan in the morning, where a representative meets you and transfers you to the 5-star Nile Cruise so you can drop off your luggage. Then visit the High Dam, finished in 1960 to control flooding and produce electricity for Egypt. From there, take a small motorboat to Philae Temple, a Greco-Roman structure dedicated to the goddess Isis. Head back to the cruise for dinner, enjoy a folkloric show, and spend your first night on the boat.

Aswan to Edfu
Your guide picks you up around 4 to 4:30 am for the trip to Abu Simbel in a shared group bus or minibus. You arrive around 8 am to see the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, built for King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari. The return to the cruise happens around 2 to 2:30 pm, giving you time for lunch on board. Later in the afternoon, you sail to Kom Ombo to visit the dual temple of Sobek and Horus. After dinner on the cruise, you'll continue sailing toward Edfu for an overnight stay.

Edfu to Luxor
Around 5:30 to 6 am, you'll take a horse carriage ride with your guide to the temple of Horus at Edfu, which is the most complete and best-preserved Egyptian temple. Back on the cruise, you have breakfast and start sailing toward Luxor. Spend the day relaxing on deck while sailing, cross through the Esna Lock, have lunch on board, and enjoy afternoon tea on the sundeck. Late in the afternoon you arrive in Luxor to visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank, where Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are displayed. Dinner happens on board with a belly dancing show, and you'll spend the night in Luxor.

Luxor to Cairo
After breakfast, check out at 8 am and drive to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs from the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountainside. You'll visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and stop to photograph the massive Colossi of Memnon statues. Lunch is on your own at a local restaurant if you'd like. Later in the day, go back to the East Bank and see Karnak Temple, one of the largest temples ever constructed at about 63 acres, with its massive halls and pillars. Then transfer to Luxor Airport for your evening flight back to Cairo, where your driver will meet you and take you to your Cairo or Giza hotel.
