- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuwan International Airport where someone from your tour group picks you up. From there it's a drive to your hotel in Thamel. Once you're settled in your room and had some rest, your trekking guide will sit down with you to go over what's coming up on the trail ahead.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Your guide collects you early and heads to the domestic airport for a flight to Lukla. The 35-minute flight takes you through the Himalayan range with Everest visible from the window. After a quick break in Lukla, you'll start the trek on an easy trail that descends gradually to Phakding village, a Sherpa settlement along the Dudh-Kosi River.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
You'll trek along the Dudh Koshi River heading toward Zamphuti with views of Thamserku Peak throughout. The trail passes through Chomoa village where locals work the surrounding agriculture. At Monjo you enter Sagarmatha National Park, a 1148 square kilometer protected area with wildlife and vegetation. Later you'll reach Namche Bazaar for the night.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar
This day focuses on getting used to the altitude through light activities. You'll hike to the Everest View Hotel for views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks. Later there's a leisurely walk to Khumjung village to check out its monastery. By evening you're back in Namche for another night there.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Starting from Namche's edge, you descend to the Dudh Koshi River at Phungki Thanka then cross via a bridge. The steep ascent that follows opens up to panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Thamserku. You'll also visit Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, before settling in for the night.

Tengboche to Dingboche
Your trek goes through rhododendron woods toward Deboche. You'll cross the Imja River on a suspension bridge and continue to Pangboche, a Sherpa settlement with an old monastery worth visiting. The afternoon walk becomes moderately challenging as the landscape gets drier and more remote before reaching Dingboche.

Dingboche
Another acclimatization day in Dingboche. You'll take a short hike to Nagerjung at 5,100 meters altitude. From up there you can see Toboche Peak, Kangtega, Lobuche West, Thamserku, Lobuche East, and Ama Dablam. After coming back down it's another night in Dingboche.

Dingboche to Lobuche
Leaving Dingboche, you'll reach Dugla at the Khumbu Glacier edge. Then comes a climb to Chukpo Lari where memorials mark climbers who died on Everest, with good views of the surrounding peaks from there. You'll continue trekking to Lobuche at 4,910 meters elevation.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorekshep
This is the key day when you hike to Everest Base Camp. Following the Khumbu Glacier route, you'll reach the staging area at 5,364 meters. Views include Ama Dablam, Tawache, Everest itself, and the Khumbu Icefall. Later you'll return to Gorekshep for the night.

- Day 10
Gorekshep to Kala Patthar to Dzongla
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar View Point at 5,545 meters. The climb is tough but the mountain views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, and Chagatse make it worthwhile. You'll descend to Gorakshep and then trek up to Dzongla at 4,830 meters for an overnight stay.

Dzongla to Thangnak
Starting out on a flat stony path through a barren valley, you'll then climb steeply to Chola Pass at 5,420 meters. The pass goes through icy terrain of the Chola Glacier. After getting over the pass, it's a rocky descent to Phedi and then down to Thangnak, a small village with lodges and tea shops.

Thangnak to Gokyo
About 3 hours of trekking from Thangnak brings you to the sacred Gokyo Lake at 4,790 meters. Along the way you'll pass by a series of Gokyo lakes including Longpongo, Toboche Tsho, and Dudh Pokhari. Once there you can explore the Gokyo Valley and the area around the main lake.

Gokyo to Gokyo RI to Dole
You'll hike to Gokyo RI at 5,483 meters, which sits above the village on the north side of the lake. From the summit there are views of Everest, Makalu, and Lhotse, plus the upper Gokyo Valley and the Ngozumpa Glacier. Descending back to Gokyo, you'll continue trekking to Dole at 4,200 meters.

Dole to Namche Bazaar
A 6-hour trek from Dole to Namche Bazaar takes you through Khumjung village along the way. The trail offers views of Ama Dablam throughout the journey. You'll arrive back at Namche Bazaar by afternoon or early evening.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Departing Namche, you'll cross the Dudh Koshi River again and head toward Monjo. From there the route continues to Phakding and then onward to Lukla. It's a full day of trekking, ending with an overnight stay in Lukla.

Lukla to Kathmandu
After your final breakfast in Lukla, you'll head to Tenzing and Hillary Airport (named for the 1953 Everest summiteers). A small aircraft takes you back to Kathmandu on a short scenic flight. Upon landing you'll transfer to your hotel.

Kathmandu
On your last day in Nepal, a tour representative will arrange your transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport for departure. You'll leave with memories of hiking through the Himalayas and seeing some of the world's most impressive mountains.
