  1. Day 1

    Split to Mostar

    You'll get picked up from your Split hotel at 7:00 am and head to the Bosnia and Herzegovina border where your tour leader meets you. Once in Mostar, you can see the iconic Stari Most bridge and walk through the colorful Old Bazaar before checking out the clifftop Blagaj monastery. The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace, then you'll settle in for the night.

  2. Day 2

    Mostar to Sarajevo

    After breakfast, you'll drive from Mostar to Sarajevo to see the capital's layered history and different time periods. Walking through the old town, you'll visit Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian quarters, browse the markets and mosques, and learn about the Latin Bridge where WWI started. You have free time to try traditional Bosnian meat dishes and wander the old town before heading back to Mostar for the night.

    The route takes you toward Kotor, Montenegro, a UNESCO world heritage site with narrow cobblestone streets built to confuse intruders. You'll visit Saint Luke's church and walk through the old town to see historic buildings with small plaques marking their origins. Spend the afternoon checking out the medieval city at your own pace.

  4. Day 4

    Kotor to Budva to Shkoder

    Starting in Budva, Montenegro, you'll check out the beaches and old town with St. Ivan church and St. Mary church. You'll stop for photos at Sveti Stefan, an exclusive island resort on the coast, then cross into Albania and reach Shkoder, an ancient city with over a thousand years of history. From there, head to Rozafa castle for views where the lake and three rivers meet the Adriatic Sea before settling in for the night.

    Shkoder to Prizren

    You'll visit one of the best agro-tourism farms in the Balkans to learn how they operate and see their local bio products, with time to have a traditional lunch or pick up fresh produce. Later, you'll head to Prizren, Kosovo's cultural capital, to see medieval architecture, the Sinan Pasha Mosque, and shop for filigree metalwork. Climbing to the fortress gives you panoramic views of the town.

    Prizren to Gjakova to Rahovec Valley

    After breakfast, head to Gjakova to see the largest bazaar in Kosovo with traditional handmade crafts. You'll visit the white-stone Monastery of Decan, still inhabited by Orthodox monks who make organic cheese, and check out its UNESCO-listed 14th-century frescoes. Then it's on to Rahovec Valley, Kosovo's viticulture capital with vineyards going back 2,000 years, before returning to Prizren.

The Medieval Old Bazaar has narrow streets and wooden houses perfect for picking up souvenirs, and you can visit the 5th-century castle to learn about the hidden paths locals used during sieges. There's free time for a traditional lunch and shopping before heading to Tirana for the night.

    Tirana

    This day lets you experience Tirana like a local with your companion. Start with breakfast and traditional Byrek at a local spot, then explore Çam bazaar founded by the Albanian Çam community. You'll discover hidden alleyways and street markets with fresh produce, learn about Albanian coffee culture at a cozy café, and check out the Bicycle bazaar. Grab traditional Qofte lunch in the New Bazaar, taste Albanian Raki, and finish at BUNKART museum, a former nuclear bunker showing communist-era history. Then transfer to the airport based on your flight time.

    • For any tour departing before January 18th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 18th, 2026, a minimum payment of 50% is required to confirm your booking with Choose Balkans. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 67 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
