Itinerary
- Day 1
Amsterdam
You'll arrive in Amsterdam and spend the morning and afternoon checking out the city on foot, by bike, or tram however you prefer. Later you'll meet your Travel Director and join the group for a Welcome Reception canal cruise on a glass-topped boat. During the cruise you'll have light dinner and a drink while passing centuries-old gabled facades and Amsterdam's famous canals.

- Day 2
Amsterdam to Rhine Valley
After leaving Amsterdam, you'll travel east into Germany to Cologne where you can see the iconic twin spires of the Cathedral. You'll cruise along the Rhine River lined with medieval villages and castles clinging to the hills. By evening you'll arrive in the Rhine Valley for dinner at your hotel.

- Day 3
Rhine Valley to Colmar to Engelberg
You'll drive through Heidelberg to see the magnificent red sandstone castle overlooking the university city, then continue to the medieval town of Colmar for a walking tour and lunch. Later the route takes you through the vineyards of Alsace before arriving in Engelberg where you have the evening free.

- Day 4
Engelberg to Lucerne
Spending the day in Lucerne, you'll pay tribute to the Swiss Guards at the Lion Monument and then check out the flower-lined Chapel Bridge with its 17th-century paintings. The rest of the day is yours to explore or consider an optional cable car trip up one of the nearby peaks for panoramic views before heading back to Engelberg.

Engelberg to Innsbruck via Liechtenstein
You'll travel through rugged alpine scenery to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, then cross into Austria along the Arlberg route with snow-capped mountains surrounding you. At a Be My Guest experience you'll have lunch and talk with locals over traditional Tyrolean food before arriving in Innsbruck. Later you'll explore the Old Town and see the famous Golden Roof, then browse the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Store.

You'll drive through picturesque vineyards of Frascati into the Campania region, crossing the Bay of Naples to reach the Isle of Capri. By funicular you'll go up to Capri Town for a walking tour with a Local Specialist, then cruise to the coastal town of Sorrento where you'll spend the night.

Sorrento to Pompeii to Florence
Continuing through Campania, a Local Specialist will share the story of Pompeii, frozen in time since the 1st century after Mount Vesuvius's eruption. From there you'll journey through Tuscan and Umbrian landscapes to arrive in Florence.
