Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cancún
Your flight gets you to Cancún the same day thanks to the time difference. The hotel sits just a short walk from the airport, so you'll check in, settle your stuff, and take it easy for the rest of the day. You've got time to grab a meal and get oriented before tomorrow kicks off.

- Day 2
Cancún to Isla Holbox
Head to the airport and catch the Ado bus to Chiquila port, then take the ferry across to Isla Holbox (ferry costs are payable when you arrive). Once at your beach hotel, take a walk through the colorful fishing village and see the street art. Grab a smoothie from one of the local spots and stick around to watch the sunset over the water.

- Day 3
Isla Holbox
Spend the day relaxing in hammocks strung between palm trees on Playa Holbox. If you want to get around, there's a bike rental available to explore the island and possibly spot flamingos at Punta Mosquito (April-October). At low tide, you can walk across the sandbank of Las Nubes to reach another section of beach.

- Day 4
Isla Holbox
Start by checking out the small food market in Holbox Downtown to see fresh fish, exotic fruits, vegetables, and avocados. Try some smoothies and tacos as you walk around. Spend the afternoon and evening on the beach with some sun, sand, and a swim in the Caribbean.

- Day 5
Isla Holbox to Mérida
Take the ferry back to Chiquila (payable locally, ferries run every hour) and board the Ado bus heading to Mérida, the capital of the Yucatán. Once there, head to Mercado Lucas de Gálvez to try some street food, then find a café on Paseo de Montejo to chill for a bit.

- Day 6
Mérida
Join a free walking tour that starts each morning. Register at the Palacio Municipal on Plaza Grande to walk with a local guide through the city. You'll see the Catedral de San Ildefonso, which is Mexico's oldest church, and the distinctive pink town hall. If it's Monday, come back in the evening for the Vaquerfas, a huge dance celebration with live music and traditional costumes.

- Day 7
Mérida
Check out the museums and attractions around Plaza Grande, and many of them have free entry. The Museum of Modern Art has contemporary pieces, while Gran Museo del Mundo Maya focuses on Mayan culture. Tour the Casa de Montejo to see what a hacienda looked like during Mérida's wealthier years, and don't skip the Palacio de Gobierno with its murals and green facade.

- Day 8
Mérida
Spend time at Mercado Lucas de Gálvez, walking through stalls filled with fruit, vegetables, handicrafts, clothing, and local food. Sample whatever looks good as you navigate the busy market. Later, join the locals dancing and listening to live music on the city streets after dark.

- Day 9
Mérida to Tulum
Travel to Tulum and check into your glamping accommodation surrounded by greenery. You might see capybaras in the garden and hear colorful birds. After settling in, head to Xpu Ha Beach for cocktails and ocean views.

- Day 10
Tulum
Rent a bike if you'd like to explore, or just walk around Tulum to see the Mayan ruins sitting on a cliff above the Caribbean. You can also head through the jungle to find cenotes. Check out Grand Cenote and Cenote Calavera for their crystal-clear waters and bring your swimsuit so you can cool off between stops.

- Day 11
Tulum
Enjoy a relaxing day on Tulum's beaches, listening to the waves and soaking in sun. If you want more activity, grab a bike again to explore cenotes you might have missed and swim in the cool, clear waters of these caves.

- Day 12
Tulum
Another beach day in Tulum where you set the pace. Relax under palm trees, sunbathe on a lounger, or do a mix of both. As evening arrives, watch the sunset turn the sea golden and take a moment to capture the experience.

- Day 13
Tulum to Cancún
Head back to Cancún, completing the circle back where you started. Feel the salty breeze one more time, look out at the turquoise water, and say goodbye to the beaches and Mayan atmosphere. Relax and think back on everything you've experienced before traveling home.

Departure
Travel home and reflect on your time in Mexico. Think through the colorful streets, pristine beaches, jungle experiences, and moments you'll want to tell people about when you get back.
