Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Lima

    You'll land in Lima and head to your hotel in Miraflores, then take the Colonial Tour to get a feel for the city's classic character. The tour covers different neighborhoods and historical sites that really show what Peru's capital is all about.

  2. Day 2

    Lima to Cusco

    After breakfast, you're off to Jorge Chávez Airport for a 40-minute flight to Cusco. Once you land at Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport, your guide meets you with a private vehicle and takes you to your accommodation so you can rest before exploring starts tomorrow.

  3. Day 3

    Cusco

    The city tour kicks off at 10 AM starting at the Temple of Coricancha, then you'll visit major Inca sites like Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, and Puca Pucara with your guide. Tambomachay rounds out the afternoon before you head back to Cusco by around 6 PM.

    Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu Pueblo

    You're up early at 7 AM for the Sacred Valley tour. First stop is Chinchero to see Inca art demonstrations, then on to Moray's archaeological site and the Salineras salt ponds. After a buffet lunch, you'll explore Ollantaytambo fortress and then catch the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo for the night.

  5. Day 5

    Machu Picchu

    Early pickup takes you to the bus station for the ride up to Machu Picchu. Your guide leads you through the main highlights including the guardian's house, Temple of the Sun, and Temple of the Condor on a 2 to 3 hour tour. You'll grab lunch in Aguas Calientes, explore a bit more, then train back to Ollantaytambo and drive to Cusco.

  6. Day 6

    Laguna Humantay

    Pickup happens between 4 and 5 AM for your day trip to Laguna Humantay. The 2.5 hour drive gets you to Mollepata where breakfast is waiting, then you'll hike up for about 1 to 2 hours to reach the lake for photos and the views. After another meal in Mollepata, the drive back gets you to Cusco around 6:30 PM.

  7. Day 7

    Rainbow Mountain

    You're picked up at 4:30 AM from your Cusco hotel and head to Cusipata for a buffet breakfast. From there it's on to Wasipata to start the hike to Rainbow Mountain, about 1.5 hours of hiking to the summit where you'll spend 40 minutes taking in the colors. Lunch follows in Cusipata, then you'll drive back to Cusco arriving around 5 to 6:30 PM, heading to the bus terminal for Puno after.

    Lake Titicaca

    After your 8 hour overnight bus ride, you'll roll into Puno, one of Peru's highest cities right on Lake Titicaca. Drop your bags at the hotel, then head to the pier to board a boat for the Uros floating islands. Next you'll go to Taquile island for a hike to a local house for lunch with weaving demonstrations and Andean dances before returning to your hotel.
