Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll touch down at Kathmandu airport where someone from the tour company will be waiting to pick you up and take you to your hotel. Once you're settled in, there's a meeting later that day where you'll meet your guide and the trekking team. This is your chance to go over what's ahead, ask questions about the trek, and get comfortable with everyone before you start.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Manjo
A 30-minute flight gets you from Kathmandu to Lukla at Tenzing and Hillary Airport, which sits at 2,804m. Your guide will brief you and introduce the porters, then you'll walk through the village while the crew organizes and packs all the equipment. From there the actual trek begins, heading down to the Dudh Kosi River and then following the main route through Ghat and Phakding before stopping at Manjo for the night.

- Day 3
Manjo to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast you'll head out and trek next to the Dudh Kosi River, crossing several suspension bridges along the way that have prayer flags strung across them. The trail takes you through Sagarmatha National Park with mountain views all around. By the end of the day you'll reach Namche Bazaar at 2,713m, known as the Gateway to Everest. It's a lively place with restaurants, hotels, shops where you can exchange money, internet access, and a bakery.

Landmarks Sagarmatha National Park Namche Bazaar - Day 4
Namche Bazaar to Pangboche
Trekking continues alongside the glacial water of the Dudh Kosi River with mountains visible from the trail. You'll get to Tengboche at 3,930 meters where there's a monastery you can visit. Inside you'll see a 20-foot Buddha statue, traditional wall hangings, and the Lamas' instruments. After that you descend to Debuche, cross another suspension bridge over the Imja Khola, and then climb up to Pangboche.

- Day 5
Pangboche to Dingboche
The trek continues on to Dingboche, a traditional Sherpa village where you can see Ama Dablam, Island Peak, and Lhotse from where you're staying. You'll stop to rest at intervals to help your body adjust to the higher altitude before you settle in for the evening.

Dingboche to Lobuche
After breakfast you'll climb steadily to Duglha at the edge of the Khumbu moraine, then the path gets steeper as you go up to Chupki Lhara. There are memorial stones with prayer flags here for Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa, climbers who died on Everest. You continue across the Khumbu moraine with views of several peaks including Khumbutse and Pumori, then the terrain flattens a bit as you head to Lobuche.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Lukla
Today you trek to Everest Base Camp, passing memorials to Indian mountaineers along the way. Your guide will lead you carefully over rocky terrain, moraines, and streams through the thin air at this altitude. When you reach base camp you'll see the colorful tents climbers have set up, with Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori surrounding the area. You'll fly back to Lukla by helicopter afterward.

- Day 8
Lukla to Kathmandu
An early breakfast at Lukla starts your final mountain day, then you check out according to your flight time and take one last look at the views. The 35-minute flight from Lukla to Kathmandu brings you back, and your guide will take you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is yours to do as you like around the city.

Kathmandu Departure
After all the trekking and time in the mountains, it's time to head home. Relax Getaways staff will go with you to Tribhuvan International Airport based on your flight schedule. You'll say goodbye and get well wishes for safe travels as the tour wraps up.
