Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Amman
You'll be met at Queen Alia International Airport where staff arrange your free visa, then transfer to your hotel in Amman. If your arrival timing allows, spend the rest of the day exploring the capital. Head to the Citadel for views across the city and see Roman ruins, or walk through the Roman Theatre. The downtown markets are worth browsing, and you can grab Arabic coffee at a local café or try the traditional argeela. It's a good way to get oriented and pick up on the local rhythm before settling in for the night.

Ajloun Highlands
After breakfast, you'll head to the Roman City of Jerash, an ancient trade hub where colonnaded streets and an oval forum sit alongside temples, baths, and Byzantine mosaics. From there, travel to Ajloun for a hike through Al Ayoun valley with its olive groves, orchards, and limestone cliffs. You'll come across Bronze Age dolmens and a Roman wine press while walking around. Lunch happens in a local family home in Orjan, then you return to Amman by late afternoon.

- Day 3
Kings' Highway to Dana Biosphere Reserve
Starting early after breakfast, you'll drive south toward Dana along the Kings' Highway, one of the world's oldest continuously used roads between ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. The Dana Biosphere Reserve covers 320 square kilometers with mountains, wadis, and sand dunes. Your trek with a local guide lets you spot falcons, chameleons, foxes, and porcupines across the landscape. Then you'll visit Little Petra, thought to have housed Silk Road traders, before heading to camp for dinner and stargazing.

Petra Back Trail Hike
Your hike starts directly from camp on a back-trail toward Petra, taking you through sandy plateaus, Bedouin campsites, goat herds, and stone staircases. The guide leads you to The Monastery, a seven-story structure with an eight-meter-high doorway that served as a Christian temple during the Byzantine period. You return to camp in the early afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free to rest and recover.

- Day 5
Petra Secret Hiking Trails
Today you'll spend exploring Petra, the ancient city of the biblical Nabateans. You'll hike secret trails to stay clear of crowds and check out the Tomb of the Obelisks, High Place of Sacrifice, Lion Monument, and Wadi Farias. The site features impressive tombs and dwellings carved right into the rock with ornate facades. The afternoon is yours to wander at your own pace and see what catches your eye. Return to your hotel for dinner and an evening to yourself.

Wadi Rum Desert Exploration
You'll transfer to Wadi Rum, the vast desert that inspired T.E. Lawrence's writings about Arabia. Wake to desert quiet as your Bedouin guides prepare early breakfast with tea or coffee, bread, fruit, cheese, eggs, halva, cucumber, and tomato. After a three-hour hike, you rest in the shade for lunch. Later, explore more desert canyons with beautifully eroded cliffs, reaching a rock bridge at Jebel Um Fruth before heading back by jeep to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Wadi Rum to Dead Sea
After breakfast, your Bedouin hosts drive you to Rum village, then travel north by road to the Dead Sea and check into a resort with spa facilities. The Dead Sea sits approximately 400 meters below sea level as the lowest point on Earth. You can float in the intensely saline warm water, scoop mineral-rich mud from the seabed (prized for its curative properties since ancient times), and take in the views of white salt-encrusted shores and red desert mountains.
