Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro
You'll arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and get transferred to African View Lodge for your first night. Depending on your flight connections, there's a chance you might leave the day before to catch an early arrival.
- Day 2
Arusha National Park
Head out on a game drive through Arusha National Park with a ranger guide. The landscape shifts between savannah, mountain forest, and volcanic craters, all under the shadow of Mt. Meru. You'll spot buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and zebras, plus black and white colobus monkeys. At Momella Lakes you might catch seasonal flamingos. A short hike gives you a chance to see the plants and wildlife up close.

Duluti Lake and Isoitok
Start early with a canoe trip on Duluti volcanic lake, surrounded by forest where bird species and Nile monitors live. After that, you'll drive to Isoitok Camp and take a savannah hike with a Maasai guide who shows you how local plants work in daily life and traditional medicine.

Landmarks/POIs Duluti Volcanic Lake - Day 4
Maasai Village, Lake Natron, and Ol Doinyo Lengai
Visit the Maasai village of Esilalei early in the morning to see how people live and learn about their customs. Then travel along the Great East African Rift Valley toward Lake Natron, a barren area dominated by the active Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. You'll hike to a waterfall in the Engare-Sero River gorge and catch the evening light at Lake Natron's shores, where thousands of flamingos gather.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Natron Ol Doinyo Lengai Engare-Sero River - Day 5
Great Rift Valley to Northern Serengeti
Climb steep switchbacks up out of the rift valley into the highlands, with views stretching back across the lake and valley below. From there, you'll take remote tracks north into the Serengeti and do your first afternoon game drive across this huge landscape.

Landmarks/POIs Serengeti National Park - Days 6 - 7
Serengeti Game Drives
Spend two days driving through the Serengeti's wide open savannahs. You'll see thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes following their annual migration, with lions and hyenas tracking the herds. Other sightings include elephants, buffalo, giraffes, ostriches, and if you're lucky, cheetahs hunting or leopards in trees. Hippos crowd the rivers and crocs sun on the banks. Granite kopjes hills dot the plains.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Take a morning game drive through the Serengeti, then head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. By afternoon you'll be driving around this UNESCO site where your chances of seeing the Big Five are good. More than twenty rhinos live here along with countless wildebeest, antelopes, zebras, and almost every other East African species you could hope to find in this 260-square-kilometre area.

Tarangire National Park
Drive through Tarangire National Park, known for its magnificent baobab trees scattered across the landscape. The Tarangire River and southern marshlands draw large groups of animals, especially during dry season when massive elephant herds gather here.

Tarangire to Arusha
Get another full game drive through Tarangire to take in more of the African wildlife and landscape. By afternoon you'll head back to your lodge near Arusha.

Departure from Kilimanjaro
You'll transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your return flight. If you want, you can arrange an individual extension to Zanzibar instead of heading home.
