Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Lhasa
You'll land at Gonggar Airport and meet your representative who'll handle your transfer to the hotel. Lhasa sits at 3,600m/11,800ft, so the rest of the day is yours to settle in and let your body adjust to the altitude. Taking it easy helps reduce the chances of altitude sickness, so use this time to rest and acclimate.

- Day 2
Lhasa
Your day centers on Lhasa's major religious and cultural landmarks. Start at Potala Palace, the former home of the Dalai Lama and now a World Heritage museum that's open to explore. From there, head to Norbulingka Palaces, which served as the summer retreat and contains Tibet's largest man-made garden. Finish by spending time at the Tibet Museum, where you can see how the region's cultural history comes through its collection of artifacts and displays.

- Day 3
Ganden Monastery and Drayerpa Cave
Drive out to Ganden Monastery sitting at 4,300m on Wangbur Mountain. Inside you'll see detailed murals, sculptures, and major chapels with large Buddha statues, plus the tomb of Tsongkhapa and an ornate armor suit decorated with gems that belonged to Emperor Qianlong. After that, head to Drayerpa Cave in a valley with over 30 meditation caves carved into the rock. Then it's the drive back to Lhasa.

- Day 4
Lhasa Monasteries and Bazaar
Start at Drepung Monastery, one of Tibet's largest, which once housed around 10,000 monks and remains an important site. Move on to Sera Monastery with its white-washed walls and golden roofs, then walk through Jokhang Temple, a central sacred place in Tibetan Buddhism. Wrap up by strolling through Barkhor Bazaar, where open-air stalls and shops mix with pilgrims going about their day.
