- SHSherri· April 28th, 2025I'm an experienced and savvy traveler. I've been to 30 countries and booked dozens of tours. I booked this tour at the last minute. Before booking i inquired how many were going on this tour. I received no response but I booked any way thinking this was a group tour. They knew I was booking a solo trip and was by myself. When they finally responded I found out they were a "broker" of activities and this was not a group tour. I inquired about switching to a group tour of Vietnam but was told there would be cancelation penalties do I decided to make the best of my solo trip to Thailand. The activities were great but the customer support and communication was terrible. I was supposed to take an overnight train from Bangkok to Suratthami. I was told first class was sold out and would a coach with AC and VIP services be ok. I thought they meant a different class of train coach but they meant a BUS! I found out the night before that they booked me on a BUS for an 11 hour overnight journey by myself. One of the main reasons i chose this tour was for the ATV adventure thru the jungle. Early on i was informed the ATV adventure was not available. I inquired multiple times about the reason and was never given an explanation but they did they would continue trying to book it. Two days before the ATV was supposed to be scheduled I inquired again and they were able to book it the day prior to the adventure. However, I was told I would have to make my own way there. I had no idea it was the national Thai New Year and businesses including taxis were closed. I had no way to get there. After walking 20 minutes from my hotel I found a zip line business that was open. The woman took pity on me and called her son to take me to the ATV location. The ATV business owner had to call his brother's wife's family to take me back to the hotel. All I can say is the ATV adventure was splendid and the Thai people are truly compassionate and helped me out of a tight spot when the "local" tour operator did nothing to help me. There are numerous examples of this type of miscommunication that I felt jeopardized my safety and caused an immense amount of stress on what I had hoped would be a fabulous adventure with a group through Thailand.
