- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll land at Kathmandu International Airport where a representative will be waiting to meet you. After checking in to your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to walk around this historic city at your own pace. Take time to get oriented and see what catches your interest in the neighborhoods nearby.

- Day 2
Kathmandu to Lhasa
Early flight from Kathmandu to Gonggar Airport takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, and you'll fly directly over Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga on the way. After getting through immigration, it's roughly a 1.5 hour drive (93 km) to reach Lhasa. Spend the afternoon resting at your hotel so your body can start adjusting to the high altitude.

- Day 3
Lhasa
Start at Sera Monastery to see its white-washed walls and golden roofs, then head to Norbulingka, which served as the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. From there, you'll go to Jokhang Temple, one of the most sacred sites in Tibetan Buddhism. Later, walk through Barkhor Markets to see how local people shop and get a feel for Tibetan culture before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 4
Lhasa
Spend the morning at Potala Palace, a 17th-century structure with incredible views across the entire city. You'll see the Dalai Lama's private rooms, grand staterooms, and various chapels inside. In the afternoon, drive to Drepung Monastery, built back in the 1300s and once home to around 10,000 monks, though it's much smaller now but still deeply respected in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

- Day 5
Lhasa
Head out to Ganden Monastery to see its detailed murals and sculptures, including an ornate piece of armor decorated with gems from Emperor Qianlong. After lunch, drive about 35 km to Drayerpa Cave where local lamas still live in caves carved into the hillside. You'll have roughly 1.5 hours to explore more than 30 caves throughout the scenic valley before making your way back to Lhasa for the evening.

- Day 6
Lhasa to Kathmandu
Take one more look at Potala Palace before your transfer to the airport. Then you'll head back on the flight to Kathmandu.

Kathmandu
