Santa Marta
You'll arrive in Santa Marta, Colombia's oldest city, and head to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the day getting comfortable in the tropical heat while you take in the colonial architecture and Caribbean feel of the place. It's a good opportunity to relax and adjust after your travel.

Santa Marta
This morning you'll join a guided tour through Santa Marta's historic center. The tour includes a stop at Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where Simón Bolívar spent his final days, and you'll walk through colorful streets while browsing local markets. Your guide will take you through the cathedral and share stories about the colonial history and Caribbean culture that shaped this region.

Tayrona National Park
After an early start, you'll hike through dense jungle to reach Tayrona National Park and Cabo San Juan beach, where turquoise water meets golden sand. During the hike you might spot howler monkeys, iguanas, and toucans while your guide explains the area's sacred importance to the indigenous Kogi people. You'll have time to swim and grab lunch before heading back to Santa Marta.

Day 4
Minca
You'll travel into the Sierra Nevada foothills to Minca, a quiet mountain village. At a traditional coffee farm you'll learn how they grow, harvest, and roast local coffee, then enjoy a fresh cup while looking out over the green hills. Later, you'll hike to natural pools with cascading waterfalls where you can cool off in the mountain water.

Santa Marta

We had a great trip to Peru and Equator Aoril ~May of 2025. Everything was arranged according to what was stated and planned- all pickups be it at the airport or for the day trips were on time. We had great tour guides. My only suggestion would be better rooms in some of the hotels that were picked- in two of the hotels we got rooms where they could have done better- Guayaquil and Cusco being the two places. Shout out to our tour planner Ronnie- did a great job and was very responsive- thanks!

My. Colombia tour was terrific all my guides and drivers were terrific I’m looking forward to to another trip w/ tour radar soon , my only complaint was bicentennial hotel in Bogota the staff at the hotel were completely professional and polite the actual hotel room was HORRIBLE! Everything was broken the shower the Tv the refrigerator and the toilet seat fell off very disappointing, Thankfully my trip got Much better from there. Thanx Again Tour Radar, Thumbs Up.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Responsible Travel South America. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
