Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha to Ndutu
You'll get picked up from your hotel in Arusha and head to the airstrip for your flight to the Ndutu Area. Once you land, your guide will meet you and you'll jump straight into a game drive in the Lake Ndutu region, which is part of the southern Serengeti. This area gets packed with wildebeest from December through April, and you'll also spot plenty of elephants, birds, and other resident wildlife along the way.

Landmarks Lake Ndutu Ngorongoro Conservation Area Serengeti - Day 2
Seronera
After breakfast you'll do a morning game drive around Ndutu, then head back to camp for lunch. In the afternoon you'll continue driving toward Seronera in the Serengeti, and your guide will fill you in on the Great Migration as you travel. This region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Tanzania's most famous national parks, so you'll be seeing landscape that's known globally for its wildlife.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park Seronera - Day 3
Seronera
If you're interested, you can do an optional hot air balloon safari early in the morning for an extra fee to see the landscape from above. You'll come back to camp for breakfast, then head out on game drives in the Seronera area. This part of the park has a strong population of the Big Five, especially lions since the Serengeti has one of Africa's largest lion populations. You'll also have chances to spot leopards and other wildlife that calls this area home.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 4
Seronera to Ngorongoro
You'll spend the morning on another game drive in the Seronera area after breakfast. In the afternoon you'll drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way your guide can talk about the Great Migration and how over a million wildebeest make this journey each year, traveling about 1,000 km as they follow their instincts and search for fresh grazing land.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Day 5
Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for your final game viewing opportunity. From there you'll drive back to Arusha to wrap up your trip. Keep in mind that accommodation and airport transfers back in Arusha aren't included in this itinerary, but your operator can help arrange those if you need them.
