    Glasgow

    You'll arrive in Glasgow and spend time walking through the city's Art Nouveau architecture and cultural spots before heading to MS Spitsbergen. After meeting your Expedition Team, you'll settle in for your first dinner aboard as the ship pushes out to sea.

    Islay

    Islay, known as 'whisky island', has famous peaty single malts and ancient monoliths to explore, plus the settlement of Finlaggan to investigate. Over 200 bird species show up here including oystercatchers and golden eagles, and you might spot dolphins and basking sharks from the beaches. Try visiting distilleries like Laphroaig or Ardbeg for tastings.

You'll check out the whisky distillery and Mull Museum to learn about local heritage, stroll through Aros Park, and view the Baliscate Standing Stones. Loch Sunart's marine area and Mingary Castle await, and you can watch for Europe's highest breeding density of golden eagles.

    St. Kilda

    Weather permitting, you'll reach St. Kilda, a UNESCO double World Heritage Site. This spot holds one of Europe's most important seabird colonies with thousands of nesting birds including over 60,000 pairs of northern gannets. The abandoned village and its distinctive cleits, circular stone buildings historically used to store peat and eggs, tell the island's story.

Lews Castle's Gothic style and scenic trails offer great views, and you can see Scotland's Stonehenge at the Callanish Standing Stones or walk through a crofting village. The Shiant Isles archipelago nearby functions as an important European seabird breeding colony.

    Isle of Eigg

    You'll sail to Loch Scavaig on the Isle of Skye and hike with the Expedition Team around Loch Coruisk and the jagged Cuillin Mountains. Later, heading to the remote Isle of Eigg lets you spot golden and white-tailed eagles, walk white sands at Laig Bay to the singing quartz beach, or climb to the top of An Sgùrr.

    Staffa

    Iona off Mull's coast has a restored sixth-century abbey, one of Scotland's oldest Christian pilgrimage sites to see. You'll hike with the Expedition Team up Dùn I for views and visit the Well of Eternal Youth. Then sail to the Treshnish Isles to spot Atlantic puffins and seals before heading to Fingal's Cave with its hexagonal basalt columns and natural acoustics.

    A coastal walk on the Isle of Colonsay gives you views from Kiloran Bay and Plaide Mhòr. Colonsay House's woodland gardens hold over 400 blooming plant species to check out. You'll see diverse wildlife like choughs, eagles, fulmars, razorbills, and corncrakes, and can optionally kayak to spot whales, porpoises, and dolphins.
